My first ever JRPG and no other RPG to date has been better then it. The story, the world the gameplay are all top notch. Due to the time travel element in the game you can finish the game with a very low overall percentage. This creates a large set of different endings that can be achieved.UniKage

Back in the day I put so many hours into this game on SNES. Traveling to different timelines and places was fun. This is one of the few games that got me really started on the JRPG and RPG in general. I had no idea, to be honest, that this was a PC game until now, it would be cool if it came to GoG.
Best game ever!! I've played it back in 1998, and this was my first love!! I play it every once in a while I hope square enix make a remake just like they did with Final Fantasy VII
2025 and it's still a better game than any current release, it's a gem! deserves to be preserved and available without a doubt... I finished it about 5 or 6 times and I would go back.

Definitely one of the best RPGs out there. Not sure I would call it perfect, but still a great game. Sadly, I never got far in the game. Would love to see an excellent remake of the game. Be it 3D or HD 2D. I think one neat one to boost its replay value and get returning players to buy it is to have choices that can change the plot, including be able to choose other girls to fall in love within the game like Chrono's best friend Lucca or the cave girl, be with some sort of time travel or during the adventure.

I still love the original SFC version. There are many games that can rival it, but I can confidently say that no game can surpass it. I would like the SFC or PS version, not the horrible ones with altered UI like the smartphone, Steam, and DS versions.

Many have already said much about Chrono Trigger so I'll share the main thing I'd like to see GoG fix in their version—the Steam (and other previous versions) of Chrono Trigger use a color palette that is more brown and muted than the original. It's very noticeable when you compare screenshots from the original SNES release. The colors can be fixed with ReShade but that is not something many people know of or are want to dabble with. If GOG could fix the colors it would already be the superior version. Another thing I'd like GOG to look into—and this would be to the benefit for the majority of their games—are CRT filters. Perhaps as an overlay built into their GOG Galaxy? Pixel art looks so much better through the right CRT filter(s) that it enhances the appreciation for a game's art as they were designed on CRTs and should be seen as intended.

I discovered chrono trigger many years after the game. Around my early 30s. I wanted to play a game like this when I was a kid. I wonder how it would have affected my imagination if I had played it back then. It's a game that makes you feel different emotions from laughter to sadness. At some point in the game, you somehow connect with the characters. It's impossible not to. I hope we can see it on gog.com one day, it's a masterpiece game.
Chrono Trigger was a game that left a lasting mark on me, shaping the way I view storytelling and RPGs. The moment I played it, I was captivated by its innovative time-travel mechanic and the diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique backgrounds and motivations. The game’s ability to weave a rich narrative across different time periods, where every decision had ripple effects, showed me how interconnected our actions are in shaping both our lives and the world around us. The themes of friendship, sacrifice, and the fight to protect the future resonated deeply with me. Characters like Crono, Marle, and Lucca taught me about the importance of loyalty, courage, and standing up for what’s right, even when the odds seem insurmountable. The game emphasized the idea that even the smallest of choices can make a difference, and that our actions have the power to affect not just ourselves, but the greater world. The innovative battle system, with its combination of character abilities and the "Tech" system, encouraged teamwork and strategy. It made me think critically about how to approach challenges and find solutions with the resources at hand. Chrono Trigger also opened my eyes to the beauty of non-linear storytelling, where the outcomes of your choices can shape the experience in different ways. It helped me appreciate the depth and possibilities of interactive narratives in video games, making me more mindful of the stories I encounter in both games and life.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008. The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.
