Like the previous entries, Silent Hill 3 is a survival horror combining action-based combat and puzzle-solving, but is somewhat more combat-oriented than the preceding installments. The main character is able to side-step and block some attacks, but in general shares with the other protagonists of the series their relative ineptitude in combat.

Played this way back as a kid and played it again on the hd collection and again on PS2 finally finished the game 3 year's ago never played on PC let's get silent hill on PC again
for a long time silent hill 3 was my favorite game of all time. i genuinely believe this is one of the greatest works of art ever created. its easily the most visually stunning silent hill game, it has the best characters in the series, yamaoka and mcglynn's work on the soundtrack is unbelievable and overall i just think the combat is at its best in team silent's quadrilogy here. sure its narrative isn't quite as prevalent in modern gaming culture as its predecessor, but its themes of motherhood, gender identity, the evils of man and the horrors of being a woman are just as impactful as silent hill 2's themes of redemption, forgiveness and empathy. this game is a work of art and deserves to be just as accessible as the other 3 team silent games do. it changed my life and changed me as a person and i think everybody deserves to get to experience it in their life without having to shell out hundreds for a PS2 and a copy of the game, or by playing its currently unstable PC port.

Silent hill 3 is my favorite Silent hill, I love the gameplay, the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the characters (Heather). Sadly, the hd collection ruined the game with bugs and bad new voices that destroyed the characters. Many people's first experience of silent hill 3 is through the HD collection and that's not good. A clean Silent hill 3 PC port which is currently an abandonware, would be beautiful. To have it fully working out of the box with any controller. Ready to play in your library, cloud saves, functional. That's something any PC gamer would like to add to their library. Today, if you want a working SH3, you either have to rely on emulation with all such thing implies, or try to get your hands on one of those old PC copies online, and try to navigate around to find fixes to make It not crash and even still, it crashes. So SH3 and probably two, deserve to be on GOG preservation program 100%
In my personal opinion Silent Hill 3 is the best of all the Silent Hill games. It has the same disturbing atmosphere that the previous games had and playing as Heather, who is basicly a regular teenage girl makes it even more creepy. The world, story and even monsters in the game were very metaphorical and touched on subjects that very little games of its times did. I would definetly love to live through that experience again.

Silent Hill 3 is another classic in the franchise and its visual direction and graphics hold up well even today played at resolutions higher than originally intended. It has an absolutely arresting and macabre coming of age horror story with rich creature and world design built on the same strengths that made its predecessors so iconic. Like its predecessors, it also has a killer soundtrack.
Yet another Silent Hill title that shaped the way I experience the world. Silent Hill 3 is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of the franchise; from the visuals to the characters (Heather by far the most intriguing SH protagonist) and Akira Yamaoka's legendary compositions, this game is perfection. I know SH2 is the fandom's favorite, especially for its story, but I think people underestimate just how good of a job the development team did with this title. This gem must become available to the wider public again, so that the young can learn and the old to enjoy, once again.
This was my favorite silent hill game and the first one I played on PS2 and I'm hoping for a good remake of this title but it would be worth it if it's on gog. As stated before that gog is the best when porting old games especially when they are buggy on current generation of PC games they fix more issues than steam did when comparing classics together. I may have played 4 traditionally on Halloween but 3 is my top favorite. (Hoping for original voice actors too due to the HD port removing them)

Well, what can I say? A game that already risks being lost today, born, conceived, and played across generations of consoles. Such a masterpiece, carrying with it perhaps the best years of our lives—memories of lighthearted, joyful, and carefree days. The only one capable of reviving it today seems to be GOG. They’ve already allowed me, like many nostalgic gamers, to dive back into memories with masterpieces such as the *Resident Evil* trilogy and *Dino Crisis 1* and *2*. These games let us unplug for a moment and return to being children, even if just for a little while. I trust in the GOG team for the preservation and relaunch of this and other games we deeply miss today. After all, GOG is also about this: a store that delivers emotions through classic, timeless games that are still incredibly enjoyable to play, just as they were originally envisioned and created.
Why Silent Hill 3 Deserves to Be on GOG and Why It’s an Amazing Game Silent Hill 3 is one of the most iconic entries in the legendary horror franchise, and it absolutely deserves a place on GOG to preserve its legacy for future generations of players. Released in 2003, it’s the direct sequel to the original Silent Hill, continuing its story with stunning atmosphere, disturbing imagery, and one of the most compelling protagonists in the series—Heather Mason. Heather brings a unique emotional depth to the game. Unlike the stoic leads of earlier entries, she’s witty, defiant, vulnerable, and incredibly human. Her personal connection to the events unfolding around her makes the horror feel more intimate and real. The narrative twists, psychological themes, and character development are all top-tier storytelling in the horror genre. Visually, Silent Hill 3 pushed the PlayStation 2 to its limits with grotesque monster designs, surreal environments, and hauntingly beautiful lighting effects. Even today, its art direction and sound design are unmatched, with Akira Yamaoka’s chilling soundtrack amplifying every moment of dread. A GOG release would give Silent Hill 3 a modern revival—DRM-free, optimized for current hardware, and accessible to both longtime fans and new players. It’s not just a great horror game; it’s a work of art that blends psychological storytelling, unforgettable visuals, and disturbing atmosphere into one masterful experience. GOG is the perfect platform to keep that experience alive.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
