This is the official thread for reporting suspicious activity on the forums. If you see any bots breaking the rules by spamming, advertising, posting shady links to weird websites - report them here! Moderation Team will do their best to keep such posts to a minimum but, as you might imagine, it's impossible to keep an eye on every single thread 24/7. That's why we need your help, anti-spam force! :)

Only report bot accounts/spam in this thread. Its purpose is not to report other users. If you see a user who you believe is breaking the rules, message Staff privately instead.

Serious question: With the current bot attacks, why aren't the Moderators actively checking all the forums sections for the bot spam?

Almost every post on the first page is either a bot spam post by kampaala or a bot spam post by mama94. If you check page 2, it's more spam posts by these same accounts.


Maybe GOG should have a requirement of having actually purchased something from the site before being able to post. Some other storefront has this requirement to be able to post on its site, and nobody complains about it. I think that the people who actually purchase games here would appreciate the forums being for us and not bots.

How would you tell apart legit users, from spambots, where both drawn to GOG by a freebie, and that freebie is all they have?
Since it's free, they haven't purchased anything.
Because it's free, the bots get access through the paywall without any need to pay anything.
