It would be really awesome if there was a way to transfer my games here without buying them again at full price. I like the way how iTunes Match working — you pay 25 bucks a year and all your prepurchased music is available in Store. Is such system possible?

There's a lot of games I have on Steam I'd rather have here, but GoG gotta make at least some money to keep the doors open.I feel like a 90% discount (not applicable to sale prices) would be fair since people are unlikely to spend full price anyway to get a copy here just for the offline installer. The storefront and the devs/publisher both win.
Nope, that's something the developer should allow on a per-game basis through keys (buying in Steam giving GOG key, and buying on GOG giving Steam key), not a shop feature itself.

Steam games, for example, need to incorporate the Steam API and have all the extra features for the overlay menu, achievements, cards...It's just completely ridiculous and impossible. Unfair, even, since real people have spent real manhours working on those different versions, and you're asking them to work for free.
Wont happen... but they could add some sort of ''key'' to games that literally ask GOG installer on steam... Because why the hell i need to Register on GOG to play witcher, Gwent or cyberpunk... So if i has to log to gog so they SHOULD give free copies on gog too if they use this site data to open those games there on steam...But no other games...
That's silly. I would never expect one store to give me a free shirt because I had purchased a similar shirt from one of its competitors. Why would GOG pat you on the back for giving your money to Steam? That just makes no business sense for either platform.
Unreal, delusional wish.GOG, Steam, ESG etc. are stores. It's like, you want to get free item (eg. headphones) in one store, just because you already bought the same item in another store and you still have this item.GOG should never fullfill that wish. Especially because on Steam you pay for "right to install game" (license), not for game - it was always like this, but now it is officially mentioned in every Steam "purchase" checkout (it is required by law).
Be realistic. Neither GOG nor Steam would benefit from "transferring" your game collection from one platform to the other. So why would they do it.Also, just considering Steam in this wish would be a little bit unfair towards everyone who bought the game on a different platform or even in physical form. Keep in mind that especially those people who bought the physical copy of an old game are those people who made the game successful and allowed it to be listed today on GOG. And they are supposed to pay the whole price while some thrifty Steam user is privileged? Not going to happen, I hope!

Best way is to stop buying games on other platforms and only buy on GOG and encourage all your friends to buy from GOG as well.
This would not be easily possible. As it's not in the hands of GOG rather it's in the park of Steam or other platforms.And this is something which would probably never happen. Why would those other platforms want you to leave and also they do not support or condone Offline DRM free games.

I would really like it if I could import what I could to GOG, and then GOG makes more of an effort to woo/entice/etc current indy and AAA games that aren't porn VNs
Get example, if they offered me the ability to transfer my collection over for around 5 cents per game that I don't already own on both, that would be almost $100 from me for my full collection and I would likely pay it just for the benefit of the offline installers and no longer needing to boot an online client to play single player games.

As nice as this would be, I don't see any benefit for GOG to do this on a large scale. If they did, everyone would continue to buy on Steam and then import to GOG for free.
I have a steam collection of 1900+ games that I have been building up long before I learned GoG existed as I have had it over 15 years now.I understand that any feature they included like this they would need to clear with the developer first but would gladly pay a few to transfer my collection of what I can over as I love the off-line ability to play many games and the offline installers.Many don't realize just how much they miss that functionality till their internet goes down for a bit and the last few PCs I have made doesn't include a disc drive anymore either so my old Quake and Command and Conquer discs aren't much good like that, let alone any compatibility issues with the newer Operating systems.But definitely support the ability to pay to import my collections over from Steam, Origin, and Uplay. I have epic too but the collection there isn't as extensive and since I got much of it for free, would seem a bit cheap.
I wouldn't mind to pay some reasonable one-time fee to transfer my Steam Library to GOG.But I have to say, I am not going to pay subscription for that.

Seriously, if it's bad business doing it for free, add some reasonable charge and people will do it. I even have a massive library there.If you can manage such a feature, it would give you a huge competitive advantage. Most people keep using steam because that's where all their games are.
This is the main reason why I don't purchase much on GOG. I would love to! But owning 1,700 games on Steam means I have most everything there. I tend to only buy games that I can't get on Steam or don't own already, so it would be nice to be able to activate my steam games here.
This was great while it lasted, sadly only a few selected titles supported this feature. It was a nice gesture from GOG and the Developers/Publishers of such titles. I don't see this coming back anytime soon.
Ah, for the commenters below - you have the right to not pay for the same thing twice. The game creator/studio/company/whoever-made-it already got your money for your copy of their product. At least that's what the law should be if the platform (in this case PC) is the same. They literally get and distribute the same package from the manufacturer, no additional coding or labour. An option to permanently transfer your games for a reasonable fee per each is a perfectly valid idea.
+1I have just a few games both on Steam and Epic Store altogether. But it would be nice to make GOG my only game place/store. Since I really don't want any additional app installed or obligatory internet connection just to run a game.

I get where the desire to be able to transfer games between platforms you enjoy, but it is an unreasonable business request for GoG to be losing money because a customer purchased the product elsewhere and wants a free transfer.
I think this is a great idea, much like the MoviesAnywhere feature (I helped implement) in Microsoft Store and elsewhere. I'd like to add something that may be even easier. I already let GOG Galaxy connect to all the other stores I can so it can show me all the games I own. I'd love the ability to permit that information to be sent to GOG Store so it would know that I needn't repurchase, for example, any of the Tomb Raider series. :D

I'm in charge, alone on Steam I have more than 100 titles that I would like to be on my account gog.com. I believe that this is a feature without which the GOG GALAXY 2.0 application can not be released officially.
if you add the steam client through galaxy you can see that you own it on steam plus the developers are the ones that have to give out the key like they do with GOG connect, that's all them not GOG
