Sometimes you know you're never gonna play a game, or you regret buying / it turns out to be crap etc. I like to curate my game / music libraries and remove stuff I no longer want, I know I'm not alone. Sure, you can hide them, but that isn't enough to satisfy my ocpd-like nature :P Steam already has this feature; it would be great to be able to do this on GOG.You can currently message the lovely people at GOG to permanently delete games, but I would love to be able to do this without bothering them!

The library will get really cluttered eventually, if you can't remove anything not even the demos. Some have pointed out that not being able to remove games might be for legal/practical reasons. Valve solved that problem by just keeping an internal records of everything you have a license to, even the games you have removed. (so for example if you get hacked, and someone removes your games for the lols they can reinstate them).

It would be nice to remove things from ones library. Mostly when it's free game demos. On other platforms, if one tries them and don't like it, they remove them. I would like GOG Games to have that option so people won't constantly email them to remove things from their libraries.

Users have been asking for this since, what, 2018? 8+ years now. At the minimum, couldn't we have the option to remove demos? No purchase, no license. I get "you buy, you own, you can hide it from your library if you want because you actually own it", but demos should be removeable. Please.
I'm really looking forward to the ability to remove games from my library. This is a very important feature for me, and without it, I can't fully switch from Steam to GOG.
It is not the end of world and with a bit more planing one could just avoid going overboard and buy demos just for the sake of it. That said, I'm still In for a feature request to make it happen
Hidden isn't enough, it sends updated alarm which people have to manually click or it will keep blinking
Even if such a feature were limited to removing demos seriously I've got a bunch of demos of games I now own the full versions of and unless said demo is actually different from the full game (e.g. Starcraft had a demo with a different campaign than the actual game back in the day) there's no reason to keep demo versions in our library...

I need to delete some games than I'm not going to play anymore, I don't want to see them in my account. Hidding isn't enough, since I hide games I don't want to play for a while, but those games I really hate, I want to remove them from my account

I have two titles in my library that are far more graphic than I was expecting, and GOG support refuses to permanently delete these titles from my library. Beware of purchasing anything in genres you've never tried before and/or you're unsure of.
I hope this becomes true, like there are free games I received too that I didn't want and just adding up unnecessary space in my library. GOG please add a feature like this I'd like to have the option to clean up my collection.

I don't understand why hiding it isn't enough.This might be a good place to remind people they can also open the full game listing, look up any tags they don't want to see, click the Eye Button on the far-right side of the tag row to *exclude* the tag from search, then favorite the URL and use it as your main way to enter GOG. This is the main reason why I don’t buy any games on GOG. This should be a simple option to implement. I would gladly switch from Steam to GOG if this was possible, I don’t like seeing my library filled with demos and free games that stick forever.
For people who are having problems with games obtained in the Freedom To Buy Games campaign with those dubious +18 games and no longer want them in their account, contact GOG, say that you got the games through this campaign and ask them to remove them from your library, to go to the support tab in the browser, scroll down the page click on contact us, there you will be able to send an email directly to GOG support, they usually take a day to respond, if they do not want to remove the games from your account, persist each email until they do, I managed it this way, I hope you can. (tip to make it easier, put all of them in hidden and if you want to keep only Postcard 2, make this clear through the message sent and be cordial in your email, after all on the other side they are just people doing their job)

Could be nice, I got too many demos because of a particular way that I was looking through available games and it's a bit annoying now. But not as big an issue as some here make it out to be, I find that confusing.
To GOG:While deleting games is not allowed, here are a few ideas that might work for users who want greater control over their digital library:1) "Vault of Shame" (or "Vault of Fortune"): A password-protected digital storage space. Games sent there are hidden from view and can only be accessed after a waiting period (for example, 48 hours). This measure not only keeps the library organized but also provides an extra layer of security and privacy, preventing anyone who accesses a user's account from seeing games they prefer to keep hidden.2) Filtering by Purchase Type: The option to hide all games obtained for free or through promotions. This would allow users to focus on the titles they actively purchased, removing clutter from their main view without having to permanently delete the games.

The inability to remove a game from the library is one of the reasons why I stopped using GOG. If I can’t manage my games on my own, including deleting them, then I’d rather stick with Steam.

Adding my voice to the list of people who redeemed the free game pack not knowing it would fill my account with H games I don't freaking want. PLEASE give us a way to permanently remove games we don't want.

To GOG (in case others take it personal lol): The irony of being stuck with games you don't want is the close similarity of being stuck with DRM. You are *technically* enforcing DRM by not allowing people rights to remove games.Like others I wanted one or two games from the freedom bundle and also got plenty titles I didn't choose and didn't want. Totally fine with those games being sold and absolutely no issues with players who play them and I support your campaign, It is a good cause in the first place. But you need to reason better about it.There is plenty motivation for removing games from personal libraries, reasons spanning identity or legal aspects that may differ considerably world wide or even within small communities. There are evolutionary aspects as well - people change so they change their mind.I understand my message leans strong on the negative side and it is intentional and final. You have the means to correct course. You appear hesitant at best - this is not well received.
I hadn't fully realised the games from the freedom bundle would all be automatically added. I had hoped for some checkout process that'd at least confirm what games were being added. Now I have a bunch of NSFW games alongside one horror game I was initially interested in, and the account is basically 'tainted' (sort of) because I can't freely use it around other people around me (although I fully support gamers who want these content, personally I've zero interest in them).Why can't we remove stuff though?
I just contacted the support team, and they told me there is not a functionality to permanently remove games from users' accounts.. That seems hard to believe... and if it's true, seems like such a basic QoL option to remove bloatware. Please add this feature.
I believe GOG is totally incapable of providing an option to permanently remove games from our GOG library. I have requested this for YEARS and it will simply never happen. They do not actually know how to make this happen. They are incapable of the technology it would take to make this happen.

Fix this or I am never buying from you again straight up. I redeemed a free game pack and got a bunch cringe hentai games. Hiding isn't good enough. And on top of that, hiding doesn't even work properly in your eternally jank launcher. This is not acceptable.
