Story:
In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

I'm looking to buy it again , I remember seeing you tube videos of it but I couldn't get where the game is sold seeing the graphics and how much fun and animated the game is blew my mind

My dad bought this game for me when I was a kid, and I have never stopped loving it. I loved my lil lion pet, I always chose him and was so excited to watch him play and interact with the villagers! I would play for hours on end, building up my cities, trying to take down the Evil Aztec Empire, and tossing that one guy all across the Nordic Islands! I know it's stuck in limbo hell but I would love love love for this to come to GOG fro all to enjoy!!

there is so much to tell im really sad that this game have not been seen by new generation, this was great experience in the days like feeling U play with AI :D hope we will seen this game or remake once more

Top game from my school days! I love it for its original gameplay, the sheer fun it provides, and the great memories it evokes. The sound, graphics, and gameplay were all at a great level for the time this game was published. It's unique, and I don't know anything that comes close to this masterpiece.

I didn't know a single word English when my sister first let me to try out this game. I still understood most of what was happening because the presentation was so good. Sister told me a lie that if you are super evil your chubby cow will transform into a muscled black bull. I spent countless weeks prepping her up and just ended with a super ripped cow.

I remember having a constant influx of evil-points on the viking map because I designated too many breeders, leading to a population that was constantly starving. This and the fact that I was trying out the electricity spell on senior citizens plus me constructing my city walls in a way that would allow my archers to always pick off the vikings that were stationed close to my city.

I first found Black and White 2 completely at random at a flea market. I had never heard of it before but I was a strategy fan and figured I would give it a go. The game was incredible, totally unique and one of a kind. I had never played a game that came even close to emulating it's style and feel and I have not done so since. The fact EA has done nothing with this franchise is criminal and I feel bringing it to GOG might revive the game and bring back some life into a franchise that died well before it's time.

I grew up on demo discs from magazines like pc gamer, pc zone etc that my family got, rarely had enough money to buy a full game, but i played the crap outta the Black and White 2 demo, it was one of those games where i desperately wanted the full game to properly play through. Now, when i can finally afford games (on occasion) it's not even available anywhere to actually buy.

This game is really special, there is really nothing else like it. Just having the hand of God makes it much more immersive than any other RTS game. And the pet beast mechanics that were so ahead of their time.. This game really means so much to me and its really sad to see it so abandoned, when Lionhead's other franchise Fable is getting the love it deserves in todays day and age why cant Black & White 2 get some too.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
