A mecânica de câmera lenta "Bullet-time" do Max Payne, a historia mais a forma mostrar quadrinho e sem falar do primeiro jogo a ser dublado em português da quere jeitinho especial que brasileiro gostar.

This game is goes HARD. It's shooting and bullet-time mechanics were revolutionary for it's time. Sadly, it has been very neglected by it's publisher, the current version on Steam is only available in certain countries and it's unplayable in modern systems. We hope to see it fixed and polished on GOG.
I remember watching my brother play this game back on the PS2. It was haunting to watch. I recently played it myself for the first time and the game still holds up quite well. I would love to own a copy of this game and MP2 if possible.

If this game is sold by GOG Games, then it would be the only platform that has it, because no other game selling platform has it for sale. And this game have one of the most rich story of black police drama in the history of the games.

This was the game that showed me that videogames were a great medium for storytelling. I remember playing late at night, with a pc that barely handled the game, feeling totally immersed in Max's pain. The nightmare sequence still haunts me... and I'd love to be part of that world again
Although I have the Steam version, I still hope I can own a DRM-free version of this game. Let's hope GOG can make that happen as soon as possible. Max Payne is a classic game that should be memorized by all of the gamers in this world.

This is one of my favorite games of all time, with an intense, gritty noir story, amazing visuals, atmosphere and tight combat that I got into fairly quickly. This game brought me in hard and I loved nearly every minute of it, watching Max as he goes through his perils and trials in a crazy storyline that gets more and more nuts over time. I loved this game dearly and I would love to see this amazing classic preserved in the libraries here at GOG.

It was not just the thrilling action sequences, it was not only the beautifully dark, almost gothic, story, it was not only like unfolding a comic/graphic novel that you craved to see the next page or chapter until its end, it was not only the Matrix-like Bullet-Time combos, it was not only the John Woo references, it was not only the haunting almost chilling music (especially the save-game page music), it was not only the unimaginable conclusion. it was all of this, and much much more... It was the total immersion of this game, in a noir world, that you actually played, and lived the life of Max Payne, the whole of it, from finding the clues to solve your crime, to the comic strips, to the highly imaginative tv series that you watched in-game (Address Unknown comes to mind), there was a game that had everything, and so realistic at the time as a whole, which represented much more than the sum of its parts... Testament to that the countless hours many people my age (1977) had been obliged to play at the beginning of the milenium just to get to the end of this beautiful game, and then replayed it just to savour the feeling of that first discovery... It was beautiful, especially the first instalment (Max Payne 2 was also very good) and would be worth a resurgence of Max Payne 1 +2 at some time in the future...

I have some amazing memories playing this. The graphics were phenomonal and the bullet time was awesome. The story itself was really grasping and submersive. I loved sneaking up on mobsters and listening to their conversations which oftentimes were hilarious. It was a challenging game that you really enjoyed playing and I am wicked excited to play it again after all these years.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
