My favorite in the 'Superhero Sandbox' genre, even if you're technically playing as Hot Topic Venom. Love this game to bits, adore the powerset and how it feels near the end-game to be essentially a horror-themed power ranger. I always rush the story to unlock the Armor power, combine that with Musclemass and spend most of my time liquifying zombies and wrestling Hunters. If I could personally own one IP to remake on my own terms it'd be [Prototype].Dreadgrave

My favorite in the 'Superhero Sandbox' genre, even if you're technically playing as Hot Topic Venom. Love this game to bits, adore the powerset and how it feels near the end-game to be essentially a horror-themed power ranger. I always rush the story to unlock the Armor power, combine that with Musclemass and spend most of my time liquifying zombies and wrestling Hunters. If I could personally own one IP to remake on my own terms it'd be [Prototype].

This game is a ton of fun. It plays like a really edgy version of the old Spider-Man 2 game or Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (makes sense since they're from the same developers). This game has a PC port, but it's horrible. It doesn't run on modern systems or processors that do multithreading. It's a mess. If anyone can fix this port and give it the love it deserves, it's the fine folk at GoG.

The pc port of this game is unplayable and I hope the people at GOG can remedy that. This was one of those open world games My friends and I would just pass each other the controller trying to cause as much mayhem and would love to go back to it and at the least stream the game to my friends and relive those fun moments

This game is (in my memory) legendary, it offers almost 20 years before insomniac games a titanic replayability in a cocktail of PURE adrenaline !!! Are you tired of making history ? no problem, go for challenges with a tank, obstacle courses or wander around the city while carrying out bloody carnage to destroy buildings and soldiers GTA style! It's a walking release, its BIG downside is its graphics, the buildings are square, visually disgusting and the allyasing is at its peak, but the gameplay more than makes up for this flaw Just the idea of being able to walk the streets of the city while reducing the population to zero makes me very happy XD

Yeah this has got to be one of those games that I get a chance to be an eldritch horror in the xbone 360 era. Doing nothing but touring the city, hacking, slashing and doing missions in order to beat the game. It was a game I didn't really went back to to do all the challenges but was satisfied on figuring out what I was in the game an figured out what cause the outbreak to begin with. It would be a good thing to purchase it on GoG. Gonna have lots of fun messing around with the people of the city for the lulz.

I've played the game on Steam. Barely. I'm hoping that if GoG releases it, It'll have alot of things fixed and the game is fixed up to be played on Newer Generation of PCs.

i remember back in the day i came down to the kitchen and my brother was watching game reviews on TV (yeah, remember those? lol) and he said i should check this one game out, that i'd love it. and he was right. love on first sight. the most fun i've had with any open world game and it's the only game ever to give me hand cramps from playing with a controller, and i grew up on Playstation lol still love it, still fun and Alex is still awesome as ever.

Activision killed it on Steam , Removed files needed for mods to be able to run the game , Did they fix what they broke no , They ask for money for something they stopping from being playable.

one of the few games that could run in my pentium 4 geforce 8300gs combo, i have great memories with this game after school, second game i completed 100% and a fascinating experience during childhood 10/10

There is a line in the game that stuck with me when you're pursuing someone: "NOTHING can protect you from me! Not men! Not Weapons! NOT ARMOUR!" This game is deceptively deep and is such a fun romp.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
