Silent Hill 3 is the third installment in the Silent Hill series. Like the previous entries, Silent Hill 3 is a survival horror combining action-based combat and puzzle-solving, but is somewhat more combat-oriented than the preceding installments. The main character is able to side-step and block some attacks, but in general shares with the other protagonists of the series their relative ineptitude in combat.

My favorite part of the Silent Hill games. This one made me feel so uncomfy and comfy at the same time, the monsters, sounds, and the surroundings were so amazing. The whole story, and of course our beloved main character Heather stole my heart. (Also this part includes the best soundtrack, i mean, song You're Not Here plays almost everyday for me.) Seeing it in better quality would be awesome.Hanapoppo

A direct sequel to one of world's most beloved and most captivating horror games - Silent Hill 1. It's challenging, has the best protagonist in the series and the lore of the game is simply so intricate that it won't leave you long after you've played the game - if ever. Please bring this masterpiece to GOG.

It's great there's Silent Hill 4, but imagine GOG having all 4 Silent Hill games available on here. Everyone deserves to play these incredible and iconic games and making them widely accessible is a must.

One of the best technical achievements on the ps2 owing in part to the masterful art direction that prevents the game from ever looking aged despite the ps2’s graphical limitations. An acclaimed story that is nonetheless underappreciated for the moral and epistemic complexity at its core and the thoughtful depiction of the miasma of sexism that clouds teenage girls’ daily lives. Also simply terrifying; some of the best use of music and sound design to induce horror in games, absolutely lynchian environmental design—packed with unexplained, ambiguously symbolic images you’d find in a nightmare—contrasted with the occasional devilish “gotcha” scare that’s like a Halloween haunted house taking it way too far (in one case, it actually is a Halloween haunted house). New game technology has been great, but we never needed much more than what we got with this game.

The final truly great Silent Hill game (before 2 Remake). It's a fantastic game that explores more feminine fears and religious trauma while staying true to the Silent Hill formula and expanding on what SH2 put in place.

Like the first two games, Silent Hill 3 is an incredible work of horror, maybe my favorite of the series. It takes you through some of the most visceral and hellish scenery in any video game, while delivering a poignant tale of a normal teenage girl fighting through those horrors. And like the first two games, it's criminal how it hasn't been properly preserved for modern hardware. These games are important and need to stay around.

this was my first survival horror game played by myself. i was ８ years old！since then this game has been impactful to say the least in my interest and taste in not only video games but cinema、graphic art、music、literature、even style and fashion. as you can see this game deserves preservation and a proper port to modern consoles、it can be done.

If I didn't come across Silent Hill 3 on PS2 I wouldn't have become a big fan of the franchise. This game has a crazy atmosphere, great monster design & soundtrack. Seeing this on PC with proper enhancements would be awesome.

Amazing game, a survival horror classic that has some genuinely uncomfortable moments. I think Silent Hill 1-3 getting some kind of clean port is a just a pipe dream, but if you think you can make it happen, a lot of people would appreciate it. Silent Hill 3 in particular is the most ripe for this kind of thing seeing as SH1 is very dated and might struggle to get a new audience, and SH2 already has a top tier remake from Bloober. I would like to see all 3 of the original games preserved, but it's a huge undertaking.

Ich hab es damals auf der PS2 gesuchte! war damals einfach geil! die Grafik und das ganze design und vor allem der Horror! Ich würde es lieben wen es bei GOG gäbe da man das spiel einfach nicht mehr zu kaufen bekommt für den Pc

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions.
