Silent Hill 3 is the third installment in the Silent Hill series. Like the previous entries, Silent Hill 3 is a survival horror combining action-based combat and puzzle-solving, but is somewhat more combat-oriented than the preceding installments. The main character is able to side-step and block some attacks, but in general shares with the other protagonists of the series their relative ineptitude in combat.

This game is one of the four crown jewels in a crown of a series that proved more than anything before it that games can be art on the same level of respect as music of classical artists or paintings of Salvador Dali. Along with Silent Hill 2 (2001), Silent Hill (1998) and Silent Hill The Room (2004). If there is any series to show that games are art that demands by its own merit to be saved and preserved for generations then this is exactly the series that encapsulates the GOG Preservation Program Mission.

I just played SH3 with the abandonware version, pc fix patch and audio enhancement with PS4 controller. Amazing experience. This has got to be repacked somehow and brought to PC along with 1 and 2. This franchise is the most important one, in a time where creativity and attitude reached its peak. GOG, you are the only one who can bring old games back to life. The ones that count. God Bless you.

The original Silent Hill trilogy is a critical landmark for not only horror, but storytelling in videogames. Heather Mason is an excellent character who actually feels 'real.' With no real official means to purchase the game, this would be an awesome addition for GOG.
Silent Hill 3, while not having as much spotlight as it's predecessor, is still a terrific entry in the series, and another of Team Silent's masterpieces. It is an amazing horror experience that moved the series forward aesthetically, musicaly and thematically, and has one of the best female protagonists ever, Heather Mason. Her journey through this game was once that made my skin crawl, and it remains as an unforgettable experience that I have had the luck to experience. It is an experience that, as a man, made me understand the struggles of womanhood better, and expanded my horizons deeply, being proof, to me, the impact that a horror game can have on someone's views and experiences. I was thankfully able to experience this game by the old PC abandoned port, and while it isn't as broken as the PC port Silent Hill 2, it does require fixes that are hurdles that'll keep most people from trying, which SH2 could circunvent thanks to the great Enhanced Edition. And, while the fixes may seem minimal, I wish there was an easy way for everyone to not only replay this game, but make it accesible for new comers. Konami amde the decision to preserve the original Metal Gear games with the Master Collection, to a moderate success imo, but strangely left Silent Hill without an equivalent, letting the old games to rot. This may be due to the infamous HD collection, and how the source code may not be available to develop a proper modern implementation of this games, leaving these entries only fate to be remade, a la Resident Evil. But Konami should, at the very least, do what Capcom did, and allow GOG to release (at the very least) Silent Hill 2 & 3 on it's storefront, while providing an accesible way to keep this games available. The versions that are Abandonware of these games are much closer to the PS2 version, and thanks to the community efforts done through the years with projects it shouldn't be an issue at all to bring these two back to current day PCs.
Silent Hill 3 is a masterpiece of psychological horror and a direct sequel to the first game. It deserves a definitive GOG release with modern OS compatibility. Please include or support PT-BR localization! The Brazilian community has been waiting decades for an official, easy way to play this classic on PC
I played the silent hill 2 remake recently, and it's one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, it changed some of my perspectives on art entirely and there's so much stuff I'm into now that I couldn't have ever imagined enjoying without that experience. So I go to try and find the other games in the franchise, and there's nothing online, basically all abandonware- so I'm writing this here because this one is the most complicated to get running and it deserves to be preserved so people who want to get into the series, like me, don't get discouraged.
Melhor que a Saga Silent Hill, impossivel, eu quero muito esse jogo, sou louco por essa franquia de terror, pois é um dos melhores jogos de terror do mundo dos games
Those games also need your vote!

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
