I played this game for the first time a few years ago, on Steam. Very lucky I found it when I did, as only a couple years later it got de-listed permanently. I went in expecting a generic modern military third person shooter, with excellent graphics and an interesting premise set in the dusty dunes of a sand reclaimed Middle Eastern skyscraper-laden city. What I played was that...but incomparably more. The title, the trailers, the description, ... it's all to intentionally lull you into thinking this is "just another one of those." It's not. I don't want to oversell it or overhype it. That day I bought it, I beat the entire campaign in one sitting, and haven't touched the game since. It left such an indelible mark on my memory that still to this day I hold it to be the greatest military shooter campaign of any game ever. Unforgettable is an understatement. Not only is this true art, with a killer rock soundtrack (Deep Purple, Jefferson Airplane, etc.), that rivals some of the best films and literature, that simultaneously embodies its military shooter genre yet is a giant middle finger to its cliches without being disrespectful; but this is that very rare game that truly makes fantastic use of the medium to make you the player feel directly responsible for every event that transpires. In that way, the impact of the growing tension and final twists hits just that much harder because you aren't watching another character on screen make these decisions. You did it the whole time. You personally feel and experience what your character does. This is such a rare, perfect gem of a campaign, and it deserves to be preserved. Preservation of modern classics like "Spec Ops: The Line" are exactly why Good Old Games (GOG) exist in the first place.QUAKETALLICA

I played this game on PS3 and i still like it. When i heard that this game was removed on all digital stores, i was pissed. Because this game NEED to be played by every gamer. This game must be preserved for the new generations of gamers. This game shows how war really looks like. Spec Ops The Line MUST come back! We need it back! We don´t need a remake or a remaster, because i am afraid that the remake will remove the controversial topics that this game has and will make the game soft for "modern" audience and so on. Spec Ops The Line must be preserved at all costs. Bring this game back!
This game has one of the best stories in all of gaming and it is a true shame it is unavailable for purchase. GOG, Please do everything you can to bring it back!

played this game 12 years back and I remember enjoying the story and the climax twist. I just want to enjoy the game again without playing the pirated version and also as an adult who would understand the story deep compared to 12 years ago

Not many if any other games have had such commentary on the players relationship with this genre of first person shooters and the violence we so mindlessly enjoy. While not perfect provides a gut wrenching story that makes the player feel half responsible for the travesties Walker commits. An incredible commentary of what happens when you believe too hard that you're the main character. A game all should play. For better or worse.

One of a kind and unforgettable, like the Terminator of video games. Spec Ops: The Line must be preserved so future generations can experience its impact. Foresight

What makes this games so special? To me, at least, it's simple... its message is beyond important and I'd hate to live in a world where future gamers can't purchase, own, and play this masterpiece.
The first time I played it back in 2012 I thought this would be another American military propaganda and I was wrong in every way. Bought it on GOG some moments before it got delisted. Bring it back! People deserve to play this gem and then make 2 hours YouTube video ranting about how great it is!

A wonderful game delisted due to politics, not due to expiring music licenses (Check out the date of the delisting, right around the time the big war in the Middle East happened). If GTA games can be relisted without the music, then there is no reason why this game cannot be relisted since many claim its due to the music.
Those games also need your vote!

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
