The rest of Falcom's main franchises have always been on GoG day-one including the Trails franchise. The Sky games are a lovely trilogy of games with a rich world, loveable characters and a charming narrative. Looking at my profile icon (if you're reading this in the future, it was set as Estelle Bright, the protagonist of the Sky games) it's no secret that I love the Trails series including Sky and it would be great to see the remake on here DRM-free to fully complete the Trails collection available on GoG. The rest of Falcom's main franchises have always been on GoG day-one including the Trails franchise. The Sky games are a lovely trilogy of games with a rich world, loveable characters and a charming narrative. Every other Trails game is on here, I don't see what's so special about the new publisher that makes them unable to do something so basic as put it on all PC platforms the rest of the series is already on. Given the series interconnected nature this is, frankly, mandatory.

I bought all the Falcom games on GOG, so I absolutely want to buy this game on GOG too!!!! I simply do not want to purchase this game on any other platform, especially because I have the off-line installers safely stored on my NAS, and want off-line installers for this game too. And lastly - I do not want a gaping hole in my Falcom collection of games, just because some publisher is too lazy or unwilling to publish this game on GOG.

I bought all my Falcom games GOG and I would like to continue. The remake seems really good and I would be really sad to not be able to buy it on GOG, please bring it here.

This game and series means a lot to me, is really one of the best JRPG series ever made, and many don't give it the respect it deserves. Really hope GOG manages to convince GungHo to release this on GOG for all of us that follow Falcom over here instead of the usual PC gaming store.

Falcom: With this remake, let's reassure today's players that they can easily jump into our enormous, highly interconnected series. GungHo: Nah, let's make them paranoid that we're going to pull the rug from under their feet. That will surely maximise sales.

This is the story that starts one of the best epic sagas ever told in video game history. It has the potential to bring new people in, as well as let so many old players to re-experience the saga with new technology. Not releasing it on GOG sounds like a mistake. A GOG release I will buy on Day 1, a Steam release maybe some day, any other platform is a no for me. GOG is where the magic happens for me. Over 2000 hours of fond memories of the Trails series. This is where I want to keep experiencing it.

This is one of my favorite parts of the series, and I would love to play the remaster. But I would only buy it without DRM. So please release this remaster here at GOG.

I purchased all Trails games on GOG and it would be a great shame if I had to split the library just because the game is not released on GOG. Especially since there is no reasonable reason not to publish it there as well.

The original sparked a great series. i own all the other games on gog (12 games). it makes no sense for the original to be on gog but not the remake. steam drm policies make me avoid day 1 purchases on that platform. hope gog pucks up this game so i could enjoy it as it comes out.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
