"the legend of heroes: trails in the sky" is one of the finest JRPG's i have ever played, everything about it is the PINNACLE of excellence! it's a shame that the series has only seen moderate success in the west despite being wildly popular in japan. the story writing is absolutely top notch, the characters are very likeable, the world building is staggering, and i'm not even doing it justice right now. if you are a JRPG fan who likes a good story, then this is one game that you absolutely MUST play. when i first played this game back in 2014, i was a little turned off by the graphics and ended up putting the game down, not being able to refund it because i had initially exceeded the 2 hour limit on refund eligibility. eventually i was told to give the game another try, just ignore the graphics, so i did, i forced myself to give the game a chance... and i absolutely fell in love with it as i got more and more into the game! i won't spoil the game, so i'll just say that while i'm not one to cry very easily, trails in the sky had me BAWLING my eyes out when i beat it! i STILL have not played the sequel that continues on from this game, despite it being literally my most requested series to play through lol. i would LOVE to see this remake appear on GOG, because not only would it continue the trend of having all the trails games on the service, but it would give it a place to live on forever if there comes a time where the game is taken off all other storefronts.
I was under the impression that this would be available for GOG. This game should be on GOG since most of every other falcom game have been released on GOG. It doesn't make sense for them to NOT release it on GOG after other ones have been.

The original PC version of this game is the game that made me switch to Gog. This remake is the game that made me delete my Steam account. Now the only way I can play this game is on Gog.

I would be highly interested in the potential availability of the Trails series on GOG for my collection. The prospect is particularly compelling given the inclusion of voice acting and the involvement of Matt Mercer.
Please just do it !!! No reason to not have this one on GoG because the entire rest of the saga is already here and if is because of GungHo, shake them up to bring us the game.
Best series in the world. Falcom makes amazing games. Every game of theirs deserves to be on GOG. Amazing music & super detailed. The Story within Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky 1st evolves into something really grand and special.

I am doubling down on titles and publishers I’m most passionate about while insisting on less DRM in my game collection. To that end, I aim to collect all Falcom games here on GOG. I really want to restart the Trails in the Sky series to work my way up to later installments I currently own and do NOT want to invest in more titles on Steam to do so at this point. While I could give in and play the original trilogy, the remakes appear to be fairly faithful modernizations of those titles and I would love to experience them with voice acting. I’m holding onto hope they will be available here on GOG.

I played the demo on steam. It's fantastic. I will only buy it on gog. I'm building my my falcom collection on gog. Seems silly not to bring it here... I get it not bringing it here day 1 (though I don't like it) but at this point just bring it here. I'm sure others would double dip.
Trails has been one of the first JRPG series I ever got into, and it was specifically for the reason of it being available on GOG. I've since bought almost every Falcom game that's available on here, including the newer ones with all their ridiculously overpriced (and ridiculously useless) DLC, just to do my part in keeping these games on here for the future. It's a shame that this remake is now on its way to become the first exception to the only full line-up of a JRPG developer on GOG...
Those games also need your vote!

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
