The Sims is easily one of the most important games of its era. It has a one of a kind style unlike anything made after. despite being the hardest of the sims games its also the simplest and somehow the most easy going, with style and music of a simpler yet "old modern" time. it offered a glimpse of the era my parents grew up in that was always so wondrous to me as a 90s kid. it may not have the unbelievable polish and attention to detail that the sims 2 has or all the flashy features of sims 3 but what it does have is a charm that they just don't quite match up to. it was one of the games that made the biggest impression on me as a kid. The Sims and Runescape are the main reasons I even got into pc gaming. I absolutely love how it's what I'm calling "high end isometric". I love how it looks, it's like... low poly but doesn't look like it. I'm not sure how to explain it. I LOVE the music and the sounds! I'm no reviewer and I really wish I could better explain what makes this game so great. its fun, its cozy, its nostalgic, its peaceful, its comforting, its funny, its whacky, its relatable, its... its the Sims.
