The Sims: Complete Collection (2005)

My brother loved this game and had a few families and houses so I decided to give this game a try and made a "family" of four Roman Legionnaires. I built a modest home for them with the initial funds that was more akin to a barracks that consisted of a common sleeping room with 4 rudimentary beds, a bathroom and a kitchen. From there each man got a job and contributed to the group fund and one was the designated cook with a half decent cooking skill so they at least ate good food to make up for the simplicity of their lives. Later on I discovered accidentally and through experimentation the work bench where your Sim can create garden gnomes that boosts, or trains up their mechanic skill. I had four men so they should of course know how to fix things and making garden gnomes helped boost that skill! On top of that you could sell the completed gnomes for a few dollars. After several in game weeks or so and after building a few gnomes and making some decent pocket change I realized these four men could just do this full time instead of their boring regular jobs and they would get to "work from home"! They quit their jobs and started doing that for 8 hours a day, creating 100 or so gnomes a day and as their mechanical skills rose they were able to sell the gnomes for more and more now making more money than their regular jobs. Eventually they maxed out their skill and were selling each gnome for $100. They were now making more money a day than Congress members on the stock market. They now had the best of everything and threw a block party and Drew Carey showed up! It was awesome. I even decked out each Roman Legionnaire in their own uniform and they had an extensive (at least for 15 year old me) bio explaining their heroic deeds of the past. So awesome and just a fun experience. Oh, and each one got their own room too after that.BigBear4U
