The Hunter Classic, in my opinion, is one of the best game systems on Steam, it's a shame it's getting lost, I made a lot of friends playing and a lot of memories... :(

I got 1164 hours in this game on steam, and my buddies have many many more (one have around 5000), this is more than just a game at this point, so many memories, so many achivments, it's hard to say goodbye, but if there is a chance to save it, then I'm in. And appart from that, the game have the best animal habits on the market, way more realistic and way more natural even compare to Call of the Wild and Way of the Hunter, despite it being 17 years old. One of the best hunting game around, if not the best.

It might not be the first hunting game I played, but it's the best in terms of everything aside from graphics. This game was way ahead of it's time and still is, after 17 years later. I got into it after playing theHunter: Call of the Wild and Way of the Hunter, and I still prefer theHunter: Classic over the other games. If this game goes out for good, it will leave a huge void space behind, and a lot of gamers with bleeding hearts. I'm so determined to save this game, that I'm seriously planning to start a remake of it, in case it can't be saved.

This is the best hunting sim ever made, people have not only put $1000's into this game but it also means so much more than that. People who cannot get out and hint in real life have passionately played this game and lived vicariously through it. Friendships have been mad online and this game paved the way for the trash hunting games we have now. Its not fare to rob your player base and then take it away because you aren't making enough revenue.

This is in my opinion the best hunting game ever made. Sure, the graphics are not as good as the other hunting games out there but still this game finds a way to compete with them, and I think that says quite alot about how good the game is. The majority of the time I have played this game I have played alone. 1-3 hours after work or school has been the kind of switch my head have needed. The part that i find most fun about it is the realism that I do not think that others have figured out. I have hunted with my dad since 3 years old and I have played Classic since I was 4 years old. To this day i still enjoy it because some of the moments in Classic is so similiar to what my dad and I have seen out IRL. The hunter classic taught me alot about hunting from a young age. Everything from sneeking with headwind to where to aim on the animal. I want this game on GOG to be able to play the best hunting game ever made. Since I play alot solo I do not really care about an online function but if it would be possible go for it!

I grew up playing theHunter Classic, and though I only recently reached 1,400 hours in game, it still contains so many special memories that I will forever cherish. I remember playing on my mom's laptop and roaming the reserves at 11 fps without a care in the world, and the thrill that overcame my chest when I found my first trophy animal. I also remember the newfound appreciation I had for the game when I built my first PC specifically so I could play it with higher FPS. It would be a dream come true to see this game live on into the future as it deserves, having kickstarted a new era in the hunting game genre when it released in 2009. I love games like Call of the Wild and Way of the Hunter as well, but Classic will always be that unique gem that laid the foundation for those titles to be built upon. It would be such a shame to see it fade away after 17 strong years, and especially so considering the fact that there will likely not be another game like it for some time.

The best hunting game ever made. AI is on point and always felt good. this game is in its own league compared to other hunting games. nothing felt as good and fun to play as the hunter classic. no drinking times or feed times. no running around killing all animals "grinding great ones". dont let it die

me and my brother play this only once in a while, but its something we both enjoy greatly even in our 30's when we have the time to sit down for it, we always loved the Halloween event and specifically those dang screaming rabbits, they always scared me more than the werewolves and my brother always teased me for it, I'd love if GOG could manage to preserve the game so me and my brother could continue to make memories with it.

Played it since 2014 and it just takes a special place in my heart. This game despite it's age is still better in my opinion than many more recent hunting titles, the fact that all animal spawns are random makes every hunt something "different", community ,although small, felt like faimly (maybe because of its size), competitions and leaderboards of best animals in season so a game with good rivalisation.

This game saved me during a sad time, it became the best thing ever. I play no other game and put money into this game continuously. I've done nothing but cry and emotionally don't know how to possibly move forward w/o this game. I play almost daily with friends most of the time and it has been the most exciting thing to consistently look forward to. Please give it more time- let the new releases happen and watch player count go up. I would put more money into it if need be. My sister anf I have been running competitions for years now, trying to help put more money into it. The community is fantastic, the Dev team is the best! Thank you to Avery and everything he has done. Thanks to TK for all the streams. They are all family to all of us and we don't want to lose any of this. Please give the game more time, this is the best hunting game ever and I will never play COTW.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
