The Hunter classic was the first game that I ever purchased a PC for so that I could play a game. I have always been a longtime outdoorsman, and I could find a sense of peace in reality in the game. I remember when multiplayer first came out, and I found the same sense of camaraderie and community that I found in my own hunting camps that I was a member of in real life. The announcement today that the game would be shuttered and shut down, hit me like a ton of bricks. How could the first game that ever got me into gaming be coming to an end? I’ve spent over 900 hours and way more money than I ever should have on this wonderful game. It has been the cornerstone of all hunting simulators, and the milestone that all future ones hope to one day achieve. I hope by signing this petition, and this vote on GOG, that there may be a chance for the game to be saved.dseagle1999

For the past two years, I had the privilege of serving as the Producer of theHunter: Classic. When I joined the project, I saw far more than just a game. I saw a unique world, an incredible community, and the opportunity to give theHunter: Classic a second life. Our team poured our hearts into that goal. We planned new gameplay features, animals, weapons, trophies, events, and many other improvements that we genuinely believed would make the game even better. Some of them made it into the game, but many remained unfinished. Over time, theHunter: Classic became much more than a project to me - it became part of my life. Every update, every conversation with the community, and every new idea mattered because we knew how much this game meant to its players. We truly did everything we could to keep the project moving forward despite technical challenges and limited resources. Sadly, reality proved harsher than our ambitions, and the difficult decision was made to sunset the game before many of our biggest ideas could become reality. I still believe the story of theHunter: Classic doesn't have to end here. This GOG Preservation Campaign is more than an attempt to save a game - it's an opportunity to preserve a unique world that has brought people together for many years. I don't know whether this initiative can change the outcome, but if there's even a small chance to keep theHunter: Classic alive in some form, it's worth trying. Thank you to everyone who has supported this game over the years. It has been an honor to be part of its journey.
My first hunt was on September of 2009, I was 14 back then, alot of time passed since then and alot happened, but the game was always there for me, grew up, finished school, finished college, bought first car, bought first house, got married and now I am expecting a child, I found some most of the amazing people there with whom I am still in very big connection, it literally cured my depression once. I lived with a hope that one day I'll get to share my fully geared account with my child, but it appears that I won't be able to do so, because the development decided it is time to end it. What a shame...
even if u can't jump, this game was shown to me when i was 2 years old. a pedo when i was left out the house took me into a van and said to me: "listen kid, do u want to hunt some deers?" then he did sum to my but, but since then my day wasn't completed if i didn't had 12 hours on this game. please bring this on gog do it for the mexican peoples.
It got me into outdoor games like hunting and fishing, but mostly i will miss the community I knew. Most of the hunters' real names if they were married had chidren or not it felt like a family, way more than just a game!

I have been playing this game for over half of my live I have over 2000 hours built up on it and for me it is a place to go to cool down not have to worry about the outside world and its problems. some of last fun memories I had with my dad was when we would sit and play this game for hours on end so to hear that it is dying hurts alot
We were promised a backend update (biggest update since couple of years or more) to make the game "a forever one", they said the update is at it's final stage, almost ready to be released. And we get this? we get news that the game is going to be shut down. To me it seems like a quick cash grab, promises about a big update made many people (me included) spend more money. Disappointing, because to me it's a game that won't be replaced, the best hunting simulation, a simulation that Call Of The Wild never was.
It's the best hunting game made. From the game play to the AI, it's amazing. The enjoyment that I have is undescribable. I was just starting to get my daughter into playing this and I would love to be able to keep that going with her.

**My Final Goodbye to theHunter Classic** There are some goodbyes we're never truly ready for. For nearly 15 years, theHunter Classic wasn't just a game—it was a part of my life. It was there throughout my entire teenage years and into adulthood. Whenever I needed to escape, relax, or simply disconnect from the world, I knew those forests would always be waiting for me. I grew up with this game. I witnessed every update, every new reserve, every new species. I was there from the early days, when hunting and harvesting required licenses. Many players never experienced that era, but for those of us who did, it was part of what made theHunter Classic so unique. This game was never just about hunting. It was about patience. About silence. About tracking an animal for an hour and sometimes never finding it. About hearing the wind through the trees, the distant call of a deer, and feeling completely immersed in nature. No other hunting game has ever captured that feeling the way theHunter Classic did. Today, the servers are shutting down. Technically, it's only the end of an online service. But for many of us, it's much more than that. It's the end of thousands of memories, friendships, adventures, and countless hours spent exploring places that felt like a second home. I'll miss more than the game itself. I'll miss the person I was while playing it. This game watched me grow from a kid into an adult, and it will always be connected to some of the best memories of my life. Thank you to Expansive Worlds, to every developer who helped create this incredible experience, and to this amazing community that kept it alive for so many years. When the servers finally go offline, a game will disappear—but the memories never will. Thank you for everything, theHunter Classic.

Raise it to gigantic proportions and teach it to do your bidding--whether the animal grows into an evil colossus of mass destruction or a kind and gentle giant is up to you. Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
