LFRSP: Personally, i'd like to see the one-click mods bring up a menu to play the modded game or the original, with a mod handler for something like BG1/Bg2/IWD.
I'd personally like to see something like a Forgotten Realms world mod that also includes icewind dale in the EET mod letting you travel between the areas with your characters.
lvl1npc mod would also have been nice, between minsc, keldorn, and Dorn there's too many guys using two-handed swords. additionally, nalia should have been a base class.
I'd still love to see a version of this game modified to use 1e as well as a version modded to allow a race-based kit for multiclass characters. Not the standard ones, just different things that were lost from the conversion of 1e to 2e. fitghter/mage elves that can cast in armor, elf fighter/thieves that can use mastery for bows and the swords that get the +1 bonus to hit but nothing else. etc.
Icewind Dale takes place in 1281 DR. Baldur's Gate 1 starts in 1368 DR. So that would be retarded, since most of the BG characters aren't even born yet during IWD.
trigonometrie: If you own the Enhanced Editions for BG1 + BG2 and Siege of the Dragonspear there is the EET to make this a combined full experience in the BG2 Engine.
Installing this is annoying, you need to download all components first and then run tools on top to combine this together.
If you want a good experience you need to check out additional mods that fix bugs, make things more comfortable and maybe add some good quality content on top. Compatibility and installation order matter and not everyone wants to check out reviews and more or less outdated list and forum threads.
Even if there isn't a set of mods that fulfills the needs of everyone and it can be quite difficult if you add the "wrong" ones, i think a basic , mostly "vanilla-experience" One-Click-Mod would go a long way for people that own all the single games+dlc
Why would you want Dragonspear to taint that whole series? It is a massive plot-hole, and it completely contradicts events in BG2. The moronic "writer" of it even though it was Irenicus sending dreams to the players in BG2. It isn't. It is Bhaal trying to get you to accept your heiritage. Can't get any dumber.
