Anarkitek: I'd really like to know your opinion on my 'added edit' specifically. Do you think to have Anton Chigurh's captive bolt weapon (a device normally used to slaughter cattle) with a very small air bottle (which actually exist) in CP2077 would be nice or even make sense in CP2077 ?
I have to admit I skipped that part, because I didn't know who Anton Chigurh was. If that's the guy from the movie "No Country for Old Men" (and I had to google that), I'm not sure I ever got around to watch it. I know the name of the movie, but I'm not sure if I've seen it. The movie name is familiar, so I should have it on my home server.
I have to google everything here, but if the weapon you refer to is the preasured air-driven pistol (and not the silenced shotgun), then...sure. The weapon itself seems pretty basic, and is probably something Anthony Harris would be intimately familiar with.
Considering we already have bottled air (like the scuba scenes), it shouldn't be a far stretch to see it utilized in conjunction with a projectile weapon. Though I don't know exactly how such a weapon actually works, and having had an accident with a nail gun (the safety was faulty, which nobody told me), I feel I am better off not knowing.
An air-driven weapon feels kinda specialized though, hence my reference to the River quest line. But I can certainly see the gangs use it, as a weapon to use when making a statement.
I'd still argue a flashlight should be implemented first though. I have been missing red / green laser sights too, to be honest. And for the weapons to be majorly moddable in the first place. Wilson feels like a hugely underused character overall.
