Given its Win7, that makes it USER side.

Which version of Galaxy are you guys using? My changelog says I'm on 2.0.73 (2nd november).

I'm using 2.0.55.99 Beta on my win7 laptop I manage my game library on.

There was a problem with the new galaxy that was pushed February last year so I went back to to 2.0.55.99 and paused updates to wait for a fix. Haven't looked into it yet but I suspect it was.

No idea if new achievements would still register. Wasn't able to game much this year and have no new GOG achievements to track.

Would be happy to test a trivial achievement for a common game if you know of any.

I've been doing some testing this week, trying some older versions of galaxy on a clean install to see if that fixes it i have tried:

2.0.72.94
2.0.71.2
1.2.67.58 (the old pre 2.0 galaxy)

ive tried two games i had to hand with quick achievements: "lego dc super villains" (has one for the charichter creator) and "batman: a telltale story" (has chapter completion achieves). i wasn't able to get any to register correctly and looking through the log files for various games there seems to be a couple of fairly common overlay errors:

I can't see any firewall issue on my end and have to wonder if this is less a windows 7 issue and maybe something on gog's end like a missing/changed server since there has been quite a bit of distruption this past month.

Interesting. But does your overlay work? I played some overlay-supporting games on my Win7 machine recently and it works normally, the notification appears and I was able to take screenshots. Cannot test myself with the achievements tho, most games with it are not Win7 compatible.

the overlay seems to work, at least for most games, ive had post bug ingame popups for achivements in dysmantle (previously worked normally) and transport fever 2 (only started playing this one last night) with them going unnoticed by the client, but other games like the lego dc one not having popups and some games dont seem to have an overlay at all for me (way of the hunter, cartel tycoon).

Ive always found the gog overlay very barebones compared to steams overlay, not sure if thats intended or if i have always been missing something.

The overlay is indeed very barebones, you don't even have an in-game browser! Its only function for me is to notify that I can take screenshots and get achievements, because in my experience if the overlay logo don't pop up, you can't do both of them. Those games where the overlay notification don't pop up for you, do you still get achievements playing them?
