Well this is a new way to insult someone. I said I appreciated it because a previous owner was Polyannish in their optimism of Apple.
As it stands I would really prefer an alternative to both iOS and Apple. For me that would include a number of language learning apps. As it stands if SteamOS is fully Open Source it might be appropriate.

eric5h5: Sure, the company that repeatedly refuses FBI requests to unlock devices, has been very vocal privacy advocates even when it hasn't won them many friends, and which has gone all-in on end-to-end encryption that they can't have backdoors for since that's simply not how end-to-end encryption works mathematically speaking, is going to do that. Right. Whatever you say. There's no reasoning with paranoid delusionals, that's for sure. I'm sure it makes you feel very smart, though.

What do you mean "A case for open source vr"?

Most VR software that are used is open source. the main 3 VR software is OpenXR, OpenVR and OSVR. Out of those the main one used the most is OpenXR. All three are open source.

VisionOS is proprietary, yes, but so is most Apple software / OS's. It is really only Apple who do this, most other uses variations of OpenXR, but that is has always been Apples company philosophy all the time

Totally get where you're coming from with the whole Vision Pro thing and privacy concerns. The thought of devices mapping out our rooms and possibly using our data for super targeted ads is pretty unsettling. It's like those smart TVs that listen in—it's a fine line between cool tech and feeling like you're being watched a bit too closely.
