ᛞᚨᚱᚹᛟᚾᛞ: Now, I was wondering if there was anyone I could elbow in the ribs less than gently in the GOG staff, regarding the release of all DOS games with an updated build of DOSbox, or at the very least, better configs.

TheBigCore: That would make too much sense, so it won't happen.

ᛞᚨᚱᚹᛟᚾᛞ: Release Candidate 2: https://github.com/dosbox-staging/dosbox-staging/releases/tag/v0.81.0-rc2 Released about a week ago, and already there's been 110 commits more.

And a release date, according to the 81 release ticket; likely sometime in February, given the only showstopper has to do with that miserable pile of C code masquerading as an operating system that is Windows 11.

Don't I know it! Most of the config files are now worthless to 0.81, and SimCity 2000 was spitting out a lot of command level errors after exiting.

This is not a release candidate.
I like this release. Games look really nice with default settings. Lazy me appreciates that.

That's exactly the thing. A lot of games look rather as I remember, unlike 98% attempts at CRT emulation I've seen, where people take their foggy memories of a constantly running 30 year old arcade CRT with a terrible shadow mask.
