a couple of years ago i bought dungeon keeper 2 from GOG, i dont know how long i have had it, but i stopped playing it a few months ago

anyway i wanted to come back to the game and play it again, the game is not on my list, not on my installed list, not on my owned list

i searched for the game in GOG's store, and there the game was, but GOG wants me to buy it again, i can actually look at my playing stats on the game and see my achievements that i have earned

i didnt rent this game, i bought it, i have sent 4 emails to customer service vie their website, and i get no response

has this happened to anyone else, is GOG running a nice little scam i mean the game is only 5 bucks, but i shouldnt have to keep paying for a game to play it

Most probably you have 2 accounts. This one shows it's from 2019, so not "a couple of years ago". ;)

OP has 101 hours in that game, so it can't be two different accounts.

Did you buy the game directly on GOG, or did you use a "key reseller"? Some "key resellers" which are not affiliated with GOG are the actual scams; if the code was bought with a stolen credit card, then the game will be removed from your library.

If you bought it directly on GOG, look for your email receipt (it is your proof of purchase) and contact GOG Support.

As others have pointed out above, the most common cause of game revoke is dodgy key reseller markets, avoid them. If you brought it here then it’s likely a glitch in the system, there are a fortunately many as GOG resource is mostly focused on galaxy. Of course, if you had gone down the route of using the site as you are supposed to, you would have the offline installers backed up offline on your drives. That way you are not reliant on any third party, and let’s face it, you should never trust any internet company. This is the big selling point of GOG, drm free, you download the offline installers (none of that clientwares hooks) and the installers are yours, no one controls them or can take them away.

Support can take a while, but if you bought it here that's your only avenue. Maybe tweet them and see if it helps rush things along, not sure if that's effective with GOG or not but it helps with some companies.

If you bought it from a reseller, probably best to just buy it legit.

Sounds like a glitch. I remember there was a way to "refresh" one's account in such cases a few years ago; unless that's changed, maybe google "Gog refresh account" and try that. Otherwise contact support.

Plenty of people already pointed out possible reasons, so I won't rehash those. I would just recommend waiting for GOG Support to reply and may want to avoid multiple tickets to prevent even more congestion on their end.

Bear in mind with the advent of Covid-19, the support team responses will be much slower than their usual time frame. They've said as much at one point earlier this year. Majority of my support tickets also had delays compared to last year. This pandemic has affected everyone and almost every business.

Are you sure you haven't accidentally hidden the game?

another thing is if you still have your email account and you bought the game with that email account you should have a email about buying the game, also should have details in your bank transaction history

You can also check your orders and purchases at the Orders page in the options.

If the respective information is there on your DK2 purchase, you can use the order number to inform GOG support with proper references and proof, and the situation will be fixed soon (responses have been taking longer, but they eventually get sorted).

Something is missing here. Not just the game.

If you didn't uninstall the game, it should be on your computer, so you should just launch it and play.
If it's not on your computer, then somebody has uninstalled it, and then it's not an issue with GOG anymore.

Now, if you uninstalled it, then you should probably remember when you did it, and did you try to tag it on GOG shelf or something which might have caused some unwanted consequences.

Also, for an advice for the future: the whole point of GOG is DRM-free and being able to back up everything. Next time, keep installers on your backup drive, so if you somehow happen to lose access to GOG, you can always get the game from your local files.

i didnt notice anything until recently and that was when gog did that update, and changed what gog looked like

i looked for the hidden thing, that vendor lazarus talked about, i dont see that my collection text, my options for games is recent, owned and installed

i searched my computer, and dungeon keeper 2 was found and i cant launch it that way and play it, but it isnt showing up on gog....i guess that donest matter as longa as i can play the game

By "not showing up on GOG" do you mean the launcher? I've had a few games downloaded with offline installers that refuse to show up on Galaxy, especially after the 2.0 update
