idbeholdME: They really do like to build up the hype about this game.
It is always Cyberpunk here, Cyberpunk there. Seems like all the chips have been placed on it.
Remains to be seen if the bet pays off...
Yes. They tried to hype Thronebreaker in a similar matter, which backfired. It was just too annoying (page covering banner and all). This time they try at least to buy the attention with free goodies and in a less obnoxious way. Which is good, I guess. It's there next big game which probably has to be a success considering the costs of development were probably high.
But it's still a pre-order and I won't do that. I will wait for the release, wait for some reviews and the first patches and most importantly on reports, whether it really is a pure, DRM-free single-player game. After some of the press statements about 'multiplayer integration' and with even a statement that CDPR might go the 'continous revenue' way (=micro-transactions, totally 'optional' of course..), I'll keep my 'wait and see' attitude. If it actually is a game like The Witcher 3, I will buy it and all expansions. But if it requires Galaxy for 'bonus content' or something for the single player game, I won't buy it.
