Hey, so I recently picked up an HP Pavilion Touchscreen laptop with one of those HP Smart Pens. I figured GOG would be great for getting games that run on lower specs and on the go. Here's the problem though. The HP Smart Pen doesn't work in DOSBox games. It works great in the few Steam games I tried, SimCity (Origin Version), and Neverwinter Nights (GOG version), but games that seem to run in the DOSBox (Fallout, Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper) don't seem to register the pen right. My wireless mouse works just fine, but the HP Pen doesn't register right. It works in windowed mode, but not fullscreen. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix the DOSBox issue? Or is it something else?

firstly, assuming you use windows, try turning off windows INK and any associated programs (it messes with all sorts of stuff like this) such as the handwriting tools.

secondly, make sure any other peripherals are detached. let us know how that works and we can see what to do from there.

Well, turned off all pen related things, did nothing. All other peripherals detached (just a wireless mouse). Still nothing. So I was playing with the settings, and I think I'll just have to do an enlarged windowed mode. Thanks though! Very oddly specific problem to have. :-)

Dosbox is inexcusably retarded when it comes to touchscreen AKA absolute tracking.

Maybe there is a laptop relative tracking option AKA mouse or trackpad mode you can switch it too.

I'll look into it. It might be a possibility. I figured it was something with DOSBox.
