llamas: Hmm, I'm a little bit worried about how this sale has taken over this week. The Journey Down: Chapter 3 is supposed to come out on Thursday and according to their kickstarter SkyGoblin are "negotiating" with GOG right now. Let's hope GOG makes the right choice and accepts the game. Getting GOG keys would be even better.
I'd love to see this game here. It's great.

muntdefems: PS: rgnrk, ever since the '+91 debacle' and its solution, if you put a bold tag inside a url tag you get these ugly HTML tags. It's better to put the bold tags outside the url tags. I.e.:

· <span class="bold">Bad</span> :(

· Good :)
Thanks for the tip.
Silly little me was just waiting for GOG to fix it.

I waited for about one day or two. After that I modified my update-reporting script so it didn't generate those HTML tags.
So I played all The Journey Down episodes back to back and they were amazing. It's such a great trilogy and it comes really close to the feeling of the classics. Taken as a whole, I enjoyed it more than Thimbleweed Park and Paradigm.

Now, I'm not sure what to look foward to for the remainder of the year / early next year. If Finding Paradise (To the Moon) sequel actually comes out this year, I figure it has a good chance of arriving here and if it hits the highs of the previous game, it should be a great experience. I found A Bird Story pretty boring without any dialogue so I hope it's more like To the Moon.
Does a text based adventure game fit in here?

I would suggest to vote for :
Anchorhead

GOG wishlist:
Anchorhead - GOG.com

I never played such a game before, but would like to test my skills.

So many games so little time!
I've just found out that Milkmaid of the Milky Way is now available DRM-free on itch.io. Lacking a GOG release, I guess this is the next best thing.

And it's now 50% off until next Wednesday at 5AM UTC. No excuse not to grab it!
Also, after re-reading this thread, I'm glad that at least some of the games listed by rgnrk are now here:

Yes, they've been adding some worthy adventure games. And a few good old ones as well. I should update the main thread at some point. I've just been a little bit disconnected from video games and more focused on board games lately. But getting adventure games in this platform are always good news to me.

(And I bought Milkmaid Of the Milky Way on fireflowergames instead of itch.io, as I had asked them to get the game in the past and they eventually did, so I felt obliged to. And they are very focused on point-and-click adventures, so it's always good to support them).

Whoa, I hadn't checked Fireflower Games in a good while! Had I known they had Milkmaid, I also would've bought it there.

And there's Beat the Game too, with a Linux build (on itch.io it's only Win+Mac, btw). Nice, thanks for the reminder!
tnx rgnrk for keeping this up!

I've been using these lists as a valuable resource so great work by rgnrk. Even if a lot of these games never make it to gog it's worth knowing what's out there. By the way the amount of old adventure games on steam and elsewhere not on gog is stacking up too. Return of the phantom is listed as coming soon on steam so hope that make's it here.
