Lucumo: Did it? We don't know the split when it comes to Microsoft and I kinda doubt the XBOX One sold more than the PS4. Also, the physical PC version seems to be missing entirely.
tomimt: Ron states in the comments, that the physical sales, while good, are so small blip that it makes very little difference. He also states on the text that Microsoft umber = Xbox number. So, as I said, combine all the console sales and it is obvious it sold better on consoles than on PC.
"The box sales are not included in any of these. The box sales have been good, Fangamer is constantly reordering them, but in total units, it's a blip (as expected)." <-- that's because the game has been sold out there for a while, so I can't buy it for instance...and I'm certainly not the only one who wants a boxed PC copy (I have to inform someone on this forum should it ever be in stock again - it also doesn't help that it's sold in the US only, considering Europeans are way more into boxes when it comes to PC games)
"It includes the Microsoft Store numbers, but those have been very small. What's hard to tell is if someone bought it on the Xbox, but then plays it on Windows. We have no visibility into that information."
"The Steam sales does not include KS backers, so that is one reason it is probably lower than normal." <-- so around 15500 copies missing here as well.
"The Apple number is a little misleading due to the Mac App Store and iOS being lumped together. Also, the GOG number does not include Q3 due to not receiving money from them yet."
"Over 1/3 of Thimbleweed Park sales are are on Mac and Linux. You're being silly if your ignoring that."
"We did very well on the Mac App Store, much better than expected. "
