lugum: he asked alot in the gifting threads and alot got downrepped there.

heck i lost 30 last week, sachys and thespian lost a good bunch, these days you dont have to do anything anymore to get to there.

Neobr10: Yep, it also happened to me and a few posters i know. It's a widespread issue, really.

I kind of deserve it because i'm an asshole sometimes, but Sachys and Thespian, really? They're among the most generous guys around here.
Well the accusation is by some(one) that they do their giveaways with other people's "donations" to gain their rep.
Which i know is false and i know thespian sacrifices alot of his winnings to others.
Anyway with this http://www.gog.com/forum/general/lets_discuss_your_experiences_with_the_forum i hope they finally opened their eyes, and with enough people they might finally start do something about it.

almabrds: You can remove rep completely, with Adblock Plus.
Easier to forget the thing exists if you can't see it.
Why the hell is there a blocked ad banner to the left of the ribbon? GOG doesn't have ads. You should probably check your PC.

Every time I see this thread title "Derep issue SOLVED", it just makes me chuckle. If only it were that easy. :)

Just to add a small bit to the adblock rules above, but if you want to ditch the rep system entirely, then you might want to add the following two rules as well, to get rid of "high rated" or "low rated" indicator:

gog.com##.post_rate_green
gog.com##.post_rate_red
