gog when will you add optimization in the Galaxy 2.0? It is so 'stuttery' that you cannot even see what games you have. gog Galaxy is a huge disappointment in comparison to the Steam software. Besides that Epic Games Launcher is also evolving and I can definitely see that developers made huge progress in the optimization of PC resource usage.

I keep getting GOG Scriptinterperter update requests. nothing seems to happen if I click yes or no. but, the update requests lock me out of other programs including GOG games. how do I fix this?

I just want to make sure that I didn't miss any hidden function. Sometimes I need to filter my library by store-tags cause genre filter isn't enough for precise search. So is there any way to do so except searching by tag in store itself and sort through a pile of unowned games? If I didn't miss anything, maybe there are existing post in community wishlist?

the same happened to me, it still hasn't appeared in gog galaxy but I can install the game from the website directly

+1 same here - bought couple of games on gog yesterday, but those do only show up in the web; not in the galaxy client. Sent a message to support. Hopefully this gets fixed soon

edit1: got a reply, devs are already aware of the bug and working on it. Suggested workaround is downloading from the web. Which is not really a workaround for me as my gaming system is steam deck + heroic games launcher and the manual installs usually do not work.

I have bought new games in steam however even after I click sync manually they do not appear under "Recent / New in library"
been many days since the purchases.

I bet this is a super FAQ but the search option is broken in the forum currently so I couldn't use it to find previous posts of this topic and how it they fixed it for themselves, so I am making a new one, hopefully "Recent posts" works better in the forum than "Recent purchases" works in GOG Galaxy so at least this post is visible ;)

Sorry I can't help with the issue, I just noticed that the steam integration seems to have all sorts of issues ATM. Oddly, another user complained about steam games never coming off the newly added list, possibly an API change broke things. Galaxy isn't terribly well-maintained sadly, possibly because few users actually use it, especially in its current state, which is a vicious circle.

I have lost count of how many times GoG Galaxy has stuck. I almost never buy games on GoG now because of it and dread any update to anything now. I have rebought games on Steam because my confidence on GoG is so low now. It has gone on for years, which tells me if there was going to be any fix, it would be done by now.

Today I realised there was a new update for Cyberpunk 2077 and pressed the download with that dread. Yep stuck at 44.9%.

I can't access games I bought from you because of this. And any games already on have to be re downloaded to play again direct without using Galaxy. Which is a painstaking task in itself. And should I need to anyway?

When is GoG going to address this? I have not seen any statement from GoG so have I missed one?

No reply I see. Answers the question of when this will be addressed. And oh yes, another game stuck on download today Baldurs Gate 3. Steam are going to do very well out of me thanks to this.

I will have to consider the offline installer and see how that goes. My concerns are if I need to uninstall and start again?

It is 2026, I bought a new handheld, launching Galaxy on it took 10 minutes because I made the mistake of adding all integrations the week Galaxy launched and to this day there is no way to remove any of the 8000 games added to the db permanently and Galaxy insists on devoting every drop of compute to slowly loading them all for as long as it takes.

New year, new ownership... maybe new fixes? That'd be nice.

For the record, I'm aware that there's supposed to be a flow to delete games if you connect and disconnect an old integration, but this doesn't work for me, plus it doesn't solve unsupported integrations and games you added manually, which as far as I can tell still can't be removed. The way this should work is: filter search for games, select all, press "Delete", confirm.
