After launching the game with REDlaucher (GOG), it won't start. I've tried everything I've seen online, but nothing works.

Please HELP me !

Hey everyone. It looks like I need some help. In preparation for the upcoming DLC, I wanted to start a new playthrough of “The Witcher 3.” My last one was in 2023. When I launched the game, I linked it to the “REDLauncher” to get the rewards. But now the game doesn't seem to be loading my “input.settings” file in the “Documents/The Witcher 3” directory anymore. The key bindings in the game have been completely reset to default. Does the link create a new “input.settings” file in a different location? Where can I find it? Or is something else causing this problem? Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried to launch the game from your Witcher 3 game folder?

Try right clicking and running the lLaunch The Witcher 3 Shortcut file.

For convenience, you might want to save aforementioned shortcut to your desktop or taskbar.

Windows Security issues

One might want to check in Ransomware Protection.

It could be possible that Windows Security need permission to allow an app to "Allow an app" through Controlled Folder access.

Look under Block history and if The Witcher 3 is listed, allow it access. This can happen and prevent games from saving.
