Outcast - A New Beginning

My love letter to Adelpha!

If the game designers wanted to make this game just for me, then they succeeded. I just watched the credits for the second time, and I'm so happy and incredibly satisfied that I picked up this fantastic game again and played it through to the end. This game simply did almost everything right. It never became too frustrating or difficult, it was always fair, and moving through the picturesque world of Adelpha was a real joy from beginning to end. I also really like the Talans; they're a peaceful people, but some of them have minds of their own! The quests are quite varied, although my expectations aren't too high. There's always something to do, though. Depending on your mood, you can follow Orym trails, clear out enemy bases, conquer Fandazma shrines, deal with Gork outbreaks, or continue with one of the main quests. All of it was genuinely fun, without any frustration or feeling overwhelmed. THIS is how games should be! Also the combat feels fun and satisfying. You can collect weapon mods which you can put in your gun's mod slots and experiment with an extreme amount of combinations, it's amazing! Plus, you have a shield and a dodge move to evade incoming damage. Are there any flaws? Yes, there are. I experienced some audio glitches and AI glitches from time to time. Initially, the game would simply crash after a cutscene, but it worked again after I loaded an older save. Since then, it hasn't crashed again. But even these minor issues don't detract from the fantastic game design, and I highly recommend it to any action fan! Additional info: You can save the game anytime and there's a key rebinding menu ;)

BioMenace Remastered

Remastered and enhanced with love

BioMenace was one of my favorite DOS games back then, and what Rigel has done with it is simply fantastic! The graphics have been expanded and improved without destroying the charm of the original! There's also a completely new, relatively long episode that offers even more variety than the episodes in the main game. The reason I never finished the game back then was its rather high difficulty level. This has been addressed by the ability to save mid-level. This makes the game considerably less frustrating, and now I've finally been able to complete it – great stuff! This game is simply a MUST for anyone who appreciates good, classic platformers!

First Racer

Just don't expect a Forza

This game cost me about 3 bucks and for that... it's pretty cool! You do races and upgrade your car or buy a new car altogether. Forza or NFS offer a lot more but also cost a LOT more :)
