Legendary, but a bit tedious

Legendary title by reputation but a bit on the hard side. The trouble is that its difficulty comes from its vagueness. Figuring how to solve sections is kind of fun, but the game can sort of let you follow the wrong path way too long. The checkpoints system works great IF you're doing the right thing that's next to come. If you're not, it can seems to you the game is simply placing checkpoints too far out (even though it's not) and you can progress a lot just to hit and "empty well" that's empty because you haven't done something waaaay sooner and then just progressed too far. Shootouts can be quite challenging, especially with multiple enemies on the screen since there are 3 way to fire your gun which adds a layer of tactic when to defend and when to attack. The last boss "fight" is kind of strange and even underwhelming (at least you'll be happy you finally finished the damn thing). Arm yourself with patience, you're gonna need it and you're gonna die a lot (there's even an achievement for it xD).

For little brave cartographers

Charming adventure game revolving around a unique, map switching puzzle mechanic. Cute Carto loves exploring mysterious lands and helping quirky characters she meets while she's trying to reunite with her granny. Story is written superbly with rich vocabulary, enough depth and it never gets tedious. Puzzles have just enough challenge in them to keep your mind occupied yet they never force you to leave the cozy bubble in which this game places you. The art style and relaxing music add up to create a wholesome package. Team behind this title may be small, but they really did a very good job. If you have kids, let's say 5-10 years old, this would be a perfect game for you to play together. Or even better, let your kids go on an adventure of their own, especially if they don't need help with the foreign language (in case your native language is not supported, of course).

Madness!?!

This is a game about madness. It's buggy as hell and absolutely epic when it comes to user-UNfriendliness. And it's been 7 months since release. I can't imagine how it was on day 1. If I had played it then, I would probably book first available flight to Istanbul and do some horrible things to the devs before sacrificing them to Cthulhu himself. This is a game about madness and I just...can't stop...playing it! In Cultic Games they obviously house some incapable bastards, sadistic pricks and conjurors of most vile binding spells! I've been playing until 1AM, tried to sleep, it's 6AM now when I'm writing this. Usually, I'm neither insomniac nor early bird. This is a game about madness and it's making me go insane. How brilliant...is that?!? O.o

Tough love

Playing Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive feels like being in a relationship with a beautiful witty woman that keeps busting your balls every five minutes. She has many issues and everything must be just how she wants it but you indulge her crazy demands even though it hurts. Bottom line is you just can't help yourself. You're in love and you just gotta make love to her over and over again. You don't even understand why of how, but when you somehow manage to find yourselves in the middle, it's just perfect and so satisfying.
