Unexpectedly great
I didn't even know you could have a game with only boss battles before I played Furi. I finished it in one sitting, so it's not a long game, but because there is little downtime between fights (and I personally found the downtime very atmosphere-building), there's arguably a lot of game packed into the playthrough time.
The gameplay is punishing, but the mechanics are rock-solid and not overcomplicated.
And then there's the music. The soundtrack earned a permanent place in my phone's playlist. :)
Definitely recommended to anyone who likes a brawler, and isn't afraid of the feeling of wanting to throw their controller through the window (no, not OUT the window; THROUGH it).
