Aged Excellence
Total Overdose provides a blend of Max Payne and Grand Theft Auto (GTA) games spliced into one and that's probably the best way to describe the game it has the gun fights and jumping action flare of Max Payne and the missions and comedic flare of the GTA games in a Mexico setting. It's very cool very fun and also very dated however you can make it look better using reshade tool and finding the widescreen fix after this it looks much more crisp and modern visually the only downside is the colletion of vehicles then which do all seem on rails the controls are very very old fashioned, any kind of reboot of this game might make for something truly epic though.
Don't let the negative drag it down it's a top of the line action comedy game with epic gun fights and chases it's ultra violent and somewhat callous with it's humour to and yet it manages to get you laughing regardless because it's not intentional if you take offence it's meant it jokingly but t's a lot of fun to play.
I find the missions easier to get through than I do with the missions in GTA games, which is probably preferable for a lot of people, it's pretty creative with the special weapons those will have you laughing at times to, it all comes together just right to make a fun ride that's an in ya face gameplay style and humor combo, Total Overdose will feel familiar to anyone having played GTA games and or Max Payne games as well. It's an aged game but aged excellence.
If I were able to give partial stars I'd rate it at 4.4 out of 5 not 4 out of 5
