NOPE!

Played for a little just to get the feel of it. The atmosphere is fine, but in everything else it feels like a poor version of RE. Thank God I got for free. I'll return to it when I have nothing better to play.

I like the stories.

That's really it, the stories. The character progression doesn't feel right to me. Sorry, I wish I could be more specific but it just doesn't feel impactful. The combat....... exists. But, the gun play....is an eye roll. You hit one enemy (even in cover) and ALL of them in the area know exactly where you are. Yes, it's one of THOSE type of games. Okay, fine. But, again, the combat is not fun in any way (compared to Dragon's Dogma or Mass Effect). It seems to me that most of the effort in this game has gone to the stories. That's fine by me, and knowing that's how it is, after a certain point I restarted the game and just put the difficulty to "story" mode. I picked up the base game for $19.99 and it's well worth THAT price.

DLC? So What?

I'm finally glad GoG got CK2 on their platform. While I can totally understand the focus on Paradox and their DLC B.S, unless you want ALL the DLC's, you won't have a problem with this game. For me, I could care less about the E-book, and music DLC's. As for the 'content" ones, I looked through them all, picked the ones that I liked, and made my own "bundle" for under $20. Good job to the GoG team for getting this game here.

Hard to read.

There was no option to change the resolution, therefore I could barely read the text. I do like the style the devs went with, but from what I did see I think I'd prefer either a detective game or a business management game, not both. Maybe I'll check out some game plays.

Well........

I tried like this game, but there are so many aspects that just aren't explained. I found myself clicking on things......just because. The tutorial was very basic and not as helpful as it should've been. Refunded.

Fun....but feels imcomplete.

I just started playing and I admit that I haven't gotten too far into yet. So far, I do enjoy Chef. Tons of options to fine tune your restaurants and the ability to make your own dishes seems awesome (I haven't tried it yet, but did look it over). My main issues with the game is that it just "feels" not done. Some of the animations are not smooth. Example: sometimes chefs will take finished dishes to the service window...sometimes they won't and they'll just appear there. Also, the kitchen operation looks half done. Storage and refrigeration are not required items to have. So food just.....appears. Refrigerators can be purchased but they just give a buff. Dish washing? Non existent. And, on top of that, you can set various policies, one is bathroom cleanliness. But, you can't build any bathrooms, but customers will complain if they're not cleaned anyway...lol. It all just feels a bit.......off. I got the game on sale for $11.99 and I had a $2.25 credit, so it was worth THAT price. So, yeah, wait for another good sale.

Okay....at a sale price.

I liked the streamlined interface; the development trees; and random events. Battles are "casual" and not overly complicated. But, as KartoffelCheetah mentioned, too much time is wasted waiting for projects to be completed. Also, I feel the developers placed WAY too much emphasis on GDP to gain money (other then loans). So, even though you can play any country, if you play a "less developed" one, like I did, you'll spend even MORE time waiting to earn money to build your economy/GDP. At one point it got so boring I had a movie playing while waiting for tasks to get done. And God forbid your "poorer" country gets hit with a random negative world wide economic event, you'll be wasting more time still. But, I picked it up at low price and there is fun to be had. With a bit more rebalancing and reworks this game could've been much better.

Decent....so far.

Only played enough to get a feel for it, and make sure it was working. Overall, not bad. I can see myself spending a couple of hours here and there with it. Bought it at the sale price so that made it worth it.

Great game.

This game deserves a remake. It's as good as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. It's both fast paced and creepy. I played the original on the PS 2 and I'm looking forward to playing it again on the PC.
