80 Days? Only took me about 5 hours!
I'd seen this game, based on Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne, for a while on this site, and finally went for it when it was half off during the recent Fall Sale. The game doesn't have CGI graphics or an orchestral score, but I'd posit that they're not needed here. The charm of 80 Days lies in its story, and the relationship between the two main characters.
The choices are all yours to make: what cities to visit, how to travel, what to buy and sell to manage your money on your journey, how to interact with the hundreds of people you meet on your journey, and how to best manage your time. If you're a fan of choose-your-own-adventure books, geography, or text-based PC games, this might just be your cup of darjeeling.
