Blasphemous 2 – Mea Culpa Edition Bundle

If you just want the full GAME itself...

For those wondering, this bundle is the best "bang for your buck" if you just want the full game itself without the extra soundtracks / artbooks / etc. (though, oddly enough, the Mea Culpa soundtrack IS included for some reason.) It should be noted too that many (MANY) of the issues and bugs that originally held back the game (especially within the Mea Culpa DLC) have been patched and fixed in this GOG release. The original reviews for the DLC were particularly harsh, but the devs have clearly listened to feedback. Atmospherically this game has much more variety and unique level design than the original. (It's not as dark and gritty as the first, which for some is a negative, but I enjoyed the gorgeous scenic variety in the many zones available). The first Blasphemous almost felt like a 2D Soulslike, but this is a much more traditional Metroidvania (with ability-gated areas gradually opening up as you go). The music is also just as good, if not better than the first game this time around (which, now that I think about it, may mean you SHOULD get the Complete Sacrament bundle). But, you can't go wrong either way. This is truly one of the best games ever made. BUY IT and ENJOY!!!

Sea of Stars: Sunset Edition

JUST BUY IT! It's fantastic!

I've been waiting for this to come out on GOG, and this version of the game has all updates (including the DLC expansion for free). If you have even a shred of love for 90's era JRPG's, you won't be disappointed in this game. Absolutely everything about it is handcrafted with some of the highest production value I've ever seen in a 2D product. The music, the artwork, the gameplay, and the balancing are all SMOOTH AS BUTTER. Even though it's 2D, the background genuinely feels "alive" in almost every location. Very little of the artwork is "static" 2D. Little details and animations (from water effects, to the flickering of candles, to the casting of shadows from sunlight) are absolutely GORGEOUS! As for gameplay, the controls are tight, and they offer you a "story mode" difficulty level if you just want to cheese through enemies and enjoy the story, but the "normal mode" is very well paced. I can't recommend this game enough. It's got the modern gameplay and QoL features of games like of Chained Echoes and CrossCode with all the charm of the classic JRPG's we grew up with. I didn't think a 2D game could be this...., immersive, but boy did they pull it off!

Sacred 2 Remaster

A game that still deserves a chance!

First-off, I should note that I didn't buy this game until late May 2026, with the game patched to 3.2a (as of reviewing date), and while the game had issues starting at first (literally couldn't not launch it out-of-the-box), the fixes were pretty simple once I figured out what I was doing. (NOTE: I had to delete a file called "gpu.cfg" out of the "GPUCfg" folder, after which point the game started perfectly, and has since run without any crashes.) I realize many reviewers (especially from November 2025) were playing the game in a legit broken state (if they could even get it to run at all), but where the devs have failed, the community is still holding on (after all, even the old "Sacred 2 Gold" had to be saved by a "Community Patch," just to make it stable. It seems that's going to be the case for this "Remaster" too). Here's what's helped me out so far. I'm not losing hope YET: 1. The modding community (e.g. NexusMods / etc.) is already quickly growing, which addresses many (MANY) QoL / UI / annoyances, even beyond what some of the Community Patch fixes provided for Sacred 2 Gold. The file structure / textures/ UI elements are all very open / accessible within game directories allowing EXQUISITE control over game balances (including XP rates, Loot Rates, etc.), and visual mods (yes, including erm.... "unmentionable" mods are fully supported). Considering that the game has been out less than a year, I fully expect the modding support for this game to get better and better as time goes on. 2. There are graphical tweaks GALORE in the game (which is one thing they did right). My PC is actually rather dated, and even the old Sacred 2 Gold would push it to its limits, but the GFX sliders in Sacred 2 Gold were very dumbed down. Now the GFX options are (almost absurdly) broken down into granular detail, allowing you to optimize the game very well to your system spec capabilities. Even my old machine can run a (decently beautiful) resolution and setting at buttery smooth framerates. I couldn't even do that with Sacred 2 Gold and the Community Patch on my machine. 3. Controller Support works quite well, to my surprise. I was skeptical, but the (albeit dumbed down) gameplay meshed with the controller. Even though the skill slots have been reduced, the controller is smooth as butter for "simple builds." (If you are used to highly complex builds, the controller may frustrate you. But you can always play with a mouse and keyboard the old-fashioned way too. I'm just glad they added the option. (Also, it seems some of the patches have addressed auto-targeting bugs). That's just my two cents. Whether via modding or dev patches, I can see this game improving more and more (and hopefully living up to the huge namesake of Sacred 2). I'm having an absolute blast with this thing. If you'll give it a chance, I think you can too. Just...., wait for a sale at least.

realMyst: Masterpiece Edition

Please, take off the Nostalgia Goggles.

Many people have been complaining that this release of yet another Myst version is not worth the money. I wanted to set the record straight that this game is NOT the abysmal pile of crap many reviewers are making it out to be. Is it perfect? Not by any means. There are occasional hiccups and glitches. You also want to make sure your PC hardware can handle it without slowdown (the minimum requirements just make the game launchable, not enjoyable). Those things can be said of pretty much every 3D rendered game ever made. However, the remastered audio quality (which is also highly important in Myst) is fantastic this time around, and the graphics (when working as the developer intended 98% of the time) are fantastic. If you've played RealMyst, you already know what to expect gameplaywise. The mouse movement is surprisingly smooth, and the level of freedom in "free-roam" mode is worth experiencing. There are obviously going to be some "invisible walls", since they aren't going to allow you to simply walk into the ocean and die. But, remember all those times in classic Myst where you thought "Man, it sure would be cool if I could walk up and look over that cliff or see what's behind that building." Well, now you can, and it adds a level of freedom to Myst that simply didn't exist before. Whenever you have truly legendary games like Myst, it's hard to give remakes a fair shot, since you want it to feel just as epic as it did during your childhood. In that sense, no re-release can quite measure up. I just want people to take off their nostalgia goggles for a second look at this for what it is. A truly fantastic product in gorgeous HD graphics and remastered sound. I'd recommend it to ANYONE, Myst fan or not.
