Windows XP x86 & Windows 7 x64 - ISSUES

Windows XP 32 - Works Windows 7 64 - Works Game loads just fine, but the issue is game mechanics. Windows 7 unit seems too fast for the game. Driving vehicles is like flying the US Enterprise in Warp Speed with making frequent turns. Windows XP is not as bad but still has driving unenjoyable. It's like driving with a single front wheel making turns over exaggerated. I play this game on 360 and love it, but GoG FAILED on this release.

Windows 7 x64 - GOOD

Windows XP 32 - FAIL - No surprise that this title would not load. If the game would load, I'm confident it would be lagged to death. Windows 7 64 - GOOD - The game loads and plays very smooth.

Windows XP 32 - The game just goes to black screen. Same results no matter if I use Gog Loader or the game exe itself. I own the actual CD and it runs fine. GoG twinked something the wrong way. Windows 7 64 - The game loaded and played smooth. Better games for Windows 7 x64 than this title. I bought for Windows XP x86 to not need the CD in to play - FAIL.

Game/GoG Loader has issues.

Windows 7 64 - Does not work. DirectX error. My DirectX is correct. I tried various things, but nothing allowed game to load. Windows XP 32 - You get an error loading the game. I ran the Gangsters.exe directly and game loaded fine. GoG Loader has issues. Just make shortcut to Gangsters.exe and you should be fine.

DirectX 9c includes Windows 7 and XP. Did not work on Windows XP x86 or Windows 7 x64. Now I know why it does not list those OS for the game, not original. I paid a buck, cheap lesson learned.

Works Windows XP 32

My son gave me this game from GOG to try on my Windows XP 32-bit PC. It installed and played fine. That is what led me to GOG to buy games for my retro units instead of ISO releases that you have to patch cracks and mount. I have bought some and will be buying much more and will review them to confirm on OS compatibility. Stay tuned. Oh, the game series is excellent but don't do easy, it is way too easy at that level.

I can confirm that the game works on Windows XP 32 bit. I only played for a moment to test it. I will leave a better review as I play the game.
