Hey GOG Team, I just want to throw my support behind bringing Black &White to GOG. This game was a huge part of my life, and it’s heartbreaking that it’s so hard to play naturally today. The AI, the moral choices, the god-sim mechanics—everything about it was ahead of its time and still holds up. The sheer freedom in shaping your world, the dynamic creature AI, and the sense of power and responsibility as a god. I played this game with friends, comparing how our creatures evolved and took different paths, which made every playthrough unique. The balance of fun and challenge—whether managing your villagers, guiding your creature, or dealing with rival gods—kept me hooked for months. GOG has done amazing work preserving classics, and Black & White absolutely deserves that treatment. Having it on GOG would mean easy access for old fans and new players alike to experience a true classic without technical hurdles. If there’s any way to make it happen, I (and many others) would be beyond grateful.Obokken

Black and White is one of those games that got so my hype that it failed... but was still an amazing game if you were able to put your fingers in your ear and say "nah nah nah nah" as Peter M hyped everything up. This game was a pillar of something new and interesting gameplay and should'nt get lost in history Great stories, good puzzles, fun experiments with a giant monkey. This is a game I've been wanting my kids to experience but sadly their computers don't have a disc drive and trying to get it running on Win 11 is a headache at best.
From Time to Time I still try to find my B&W CD. I love the Humor of the game, the sidequests, the freedom to be good or evil and most of all the creatures. Please bring this God of a GodGame to GOG!

It was a funny and innovative game, and my brother and I played it a lot , and we would laugh so hard while playing. He passed away a few years ago and I would love to play it again. Fond memories.

First time I was able to feel like a god. My creature was powerful and was helping villagers. I have whole collection on CDs, but I hope someday I will be able to play this game on GoG.

Best game ever! Played it so many times in so many different ways. In land 2 there is a quesr where the towns food supply necomes poisoned. It was a great way to take over enemy diety villages by wiping out the population quickly. Took the poisoned food with me to all the following lands in one evil playthrough. Such a great game, funny and cute and surprisingly in depth gameplay. Even back when the game first came out, it had so many bugs. Just getting it to run on my pc nack then was a challenge. I wish it would be remastered or have a remake with awesome graphics. Black and white 2 was great too, but it kind of lacked the charm of the first game.

I tried my creature to go immediately across the map and start eating the villagers of my enemies. It was beautiful. They were also such a fierce fighter, he only lost a handful of fights. They would heal themselves, cast rain on themselves, and would otherwise just be an unstoppable force fighting the enemy creatures. I really hope this game gets out of the legal limbo it is in, and is released for us to purchase because it is getting harder and harder to get my CD copy to be playable with these newer machines.
I got this game for free back when it 1st came out, I think it was with/from a mobile phone deal of some description. The PC we owned at the time wouldn't run it. I had to convince my dad to upgrade out PC just so I could run the game. It was, is and ever will be one of my favorite game ever. The concept and game play for the time blew me away. I recently installed it on my ROG ALLY so I could play it on the go but I couldn't get it working. I NEED TO RE-LIVE this period of my life/ Please GOG angels/demons, make this happen

Oh man, I used to love playing this game so much. One of the best God Sims ever. Teaching my giant tiger to poop on the town's food and yeet children into the ocean was the best.
Those games also need your vote!

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

The player must regularly enter an inventory screen to check Harry's health, use items, and equip different weapons.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
