Oni was one of Bungie's more unique games in a time before Halo changed everything. It's combat was stellar and overall vibe is just full on early 2000's goodness. All it needs is to be available, any form of remastering can simply be implemented by the community's Anniversary Edition patch. I hope its publisher, Rockstar or Take Two, won't be draconian on the idea of it making a comeback. BaggySpartan117

This game was my childhood! I've been playing it for 20 years and have recently been speedrunning it. Everything is great about it. The music, the gameplay, vibe, and design, all brilliant! The combat was and is the most fun, difficult, and interactive design i've ever played and it was way ahead of it's time. Nowadays, the community is alive and has created Oni AE so it runs on most modern machines. There are a lot of mods for it as well!

Played as a kid. Great memories. Stunning fighting system. Fairly high difficulty level encouraging to repeat and try again whole sections (criticised auto save that should stay in place cause that's the core mechanic of this game).

System Walki i Historia z rodem filmów anime lat 90, najpierw zagrałem w demo, potem czychałem aby ja kupić , nośnik zaginał w czasie .Obecnie GoG jest jedynym ratunkiem aby zagrać ponownie w mega Hita z dzieciństwa, ale wielkim + byłby remastred względem uruchomienia ale i śilnika grafiki do dzisiejszych realów technicznych.

This game was a masterpiece when it was released and is in desperate need of preservation. The melee combat was way ahead of its time and almost 25 years later is still better than the vast majority of melee combat in contemporary games. Couple that with excellent writing, a 90s anime inspired aesthetic, and excellent level and environment design. It’s an underrated gem of a game that I wish more players could experience in the 2020s. It was one of my favorite games when it released in 2001 (played it on one of those semi-transparent colored plastic iMacs, remember those?) and it would be a delight to experience again.

We need more games with badass chick protagonists. This one right here is one of the best and definitely deserves to be preserved. What else is there to say? This game rocks, that's all.

MediaKit dropped a video a few years ago glazing the melee combat system and I will have to agree. Besides the Arkham games, there isn't a melee combat I've wanted my hands on more than anything. Like are you kidding me? Play as a woman who looks like The Major while kicking ass in the best way possible? Please AND thank you.

I played the crap out of this game as a kid! I even had a crush on Kanoko! I learned all the the finer details of this game, inside and out! I would love to play this game again!

I think I was around 11 when this game was released and I just saw it in the software aisle at Target. I had no idea what the game was about, never even heard of it. I just liked the cover art. Shot my shot with my mom to get it for me and she did. Next thing I knew I was hooked playing hours, and until CD rom PC and laptops became no longer a thing this game was a staple on my PC/Laptop. I would love to play this again now!

I remember grabbing a ps2 copy at a vintage store only because a YouTuber I watched said they actually worked on the cover art for it, and thought it was neat to have found it. Before I ever played it I read through the manual and could not tell what kind of game I was getting into, everything screamed third person shooter but it was telling me about melee specials and disarms. Ever since actually playing it, it’s become a game I think about regularly and every time I play any game with melee combat and shooting I can only think about how lackluster they are in comparison as far as depth goes. I hope for this game to get a chance to reach new players and hopefully inspire smaller devs to try some similar projects that make you feel like a fully capable combatant both with, without, and while combining close combat fighting and shooting. Even if none of that happens, all the fans of this game not having to deal with modded fixes and inevitable jank and tweak cycles would be amazing.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
