Story:
The players control the heroes or villians from the famous Lord of The Rings movies. With a hero characters similar to the Warcraft series you control both the armies and all the unique heroes. The game follows the movies very closely and even got scenes from the films appear in game. Not only does the game contain a giant campaign where you play through the journey of the ring as the good side, the game also features an evil campaign where as the players play as the evil forces of Middle Earth. With multiple diffrent races from all over Middle Earth, a giant spell tree to customize your game and a unique basebuilding layout the game was great for its time.

One of the very best RTS game that has ever been released on PC. It's my childhood memories, I remember my cousins giving me this game and watching the movies with my dad. I think people would enjoy having this game on here because it is rare to find on physical media.

My all time favorite RTS game and favorite movie game. I would like to see this game on GOG included with online gameplay I don't want this game and BFME 2 to be stay dead

The games really captured the atmosphere of Middle-Earth and the films. The different techniques and styles to play the game are astounding. Especially the heroes and their special abilities are fantastic. Would love to see the games series on GOG.

Playing this game is a pleasure for me. I lose myself while playing the game. Only those who experience it know this pleasure, it is indescribable. Playing a game of a movie you love to watch and feeling like a member of that world is an undeniable pleasure. I hope we will have the opportunity to vote for the Rise of the Wicket King game.

Wonderful game, but vote for the Anthology; it contains 1, 2, and the Witch King DLC! I loved number 1; great integration of the story and game mechanics, and the skirmish mode was a lot of fun. 2 also had a great conquest mode. :)

Man, I would pay any amount of money to have this game again. Loved it. It's simply a great rts in a great setting. I had the pc games back in the day and I really regret not holding onto them. Please please please let me, let me, let me get what I want this time.

this was the first RTS game that my grandfather introduced me to. Getting to re-live those memories of playing this game while he cracks jokes about being in the movie with his twin (the two trolls who opened the black gate in the RotK) would be amzing!! Please PLEASE bring this to gog!

Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Fable IIISet 50 years after the events of Fable II, the continent of Albion (where the Fable series is set) is under the control of Logan, a tyrant king and the Hero's older brother[1].
