The first RPG to garner mainstream success (limited to Japan at the time), I remember reading about this in magazines, seeing the screenshots, and I knew I had to play it. Like many here, it was my first, and it's still the greatest in my heart.
This game played a fundamental role in my development as a young gamer.
Now that Square Enix is releasing Final Fantasy titles on GOG, I feel it's only a matter of time before this series makes its appearance here too. I don't care if its the older versions or the remakes, it needs to come because it's so important.
