Final Fantasy X - the first entry to have voice acting, and by extension, a real sense of personality for its characters. It was another layer of depth added to an already great story presentation; despite it feeling a bit stilted (being Squares' first attempt at it), I can still recall all the characters distinct voices 24 years later. Yes, this absolutely needs to come to GOG. "Aint no gettin' off this train we're on" as Barret would say, let's keep it going!

Definitively a "must have game" i have it and finished on both PS2 and XBox one (so this might a good choise for PC version ;) ) A millestone in FF game history.

I never played this game however, I remember in my neighborhood there was an older brother who would play this, we used to watch him at his home and play other games with him. When he finished the game and the MC and The Girl kissed I remember saying "Why are you two girls are kissing?" (I was around 8 years old), so yeah, I'm 30 now and I wanna see two girls kiss again.

i had the Amercian edition. and i literally maxed out the time trying to max out my characters with full sphere grids all around. I loved the tender Tidus and his desperation to protect Yuna, the real protagonist. Riku's dont mess around with me, but also im just a girly attitude. dont know why, but after 999 hours it started to keep negative time and then stopped at -10 hours. but i owned it on ps2 at 12. i did nothing but go to school, church, and play ffx for like a year straight. please give us the international version. i want dark aeons! also please make a separate release from x2. my head canon says that embarassment was just a Yuna hallucination.

I got bored, crushed FF7 & FF9 over the last few months - God I love them - FF8 is a red hot poker to my eye balls so I came for FFX (BLITZBALL!) only to find it's not here? Dude, GOG fix this please! The FF's have always been favorites of mine, even Tactics was awesome. First PS2 game, like a lot of others here and such. Man I ditched so many days of school to grind these games, I missed them more than I knew... but no FFX? No Sir, fix that yall!

It was one of the first Final Fantasy game I had growing up on PS2 and will like to relive my experience on PC through GOG, It was amazing experience as a kid through the ps2 console, I can't wait relive the moments playing Titus character!

never played it when it was on ps2 just a release of the hd version. I liked it I thought it was fun and other people on gog should be able to play and keep it.

- First FF game I ever played - Really good JRPG - Classic turn-based battles before they started experimenting with action - Somehow Square manages to make every PC port of their games take up 10x the space it took up on console and run slow on newer, more powerful hardware. But maybe GOG mods could fix some of the problems?

This is the first Final Fantasy game that ultimately generated my interest into the rest of the series when I was 11 years old. I did play the first Final Fantasy on the NES when I was too young to understand it, and it left a bad impression on me. It was until my best friends, who are brothers, showed me this game that I chose to take a leap of faith with, and I don't regret it. I understand that there are countless debates on which Final Fantasy game is THE best one. For me, this one has a special place in my childhood along with FFXI as a game that deserved to be preserved here on GOG.

I would like to share this game with my friend, but I loathe DRM and refuse to support Steam. If it comes here I will be one of the first to buy it so that gaming experience can be shared once again since I need to go through a copy using accessibility mods while they play the game normally.

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
