I ran away from home when I was 14 and moved in with my eldest sister. She was leaving for a week the day I moved in so she bought me a Playstation and 3 games. Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil 2, and Parasite Eve. I hadn't been allowed to play anything more mature than Mario at that point. FF7 and RE2 were wonderful games that had an affect on all the games I enjoyed going forward. Parasite Eve was my first introduction to a believable, strong but also vulnerable, and relatable woman main character. The cinematics blew my mind, the villain tantalized me, and the story full dragged me in. Most importantly it had gameplay I've struggled to find anywhere else since. It's to this day unique. I want it on GoG cause it's hard as hell to find and I don't like to emulate. I'm abandoning Steam as much as I can and since this is my new home if you can bring one of my favorite games here, I'd play it for many many hours.Star-hawke

As much I would to see it released Square cannot use the Parasite Eve name due no longer having the rights due to the auther not being pleased with the 2nd game that is why the game after had a different title.

I Love this game, amazing Arpg with terror, FMV was very good for his time (even this days still great). Very fun to play, amazing lore. I played so many times in my ps1 cd 1 and cd2. The secret levels (maze map on the tower) is so hard and unforgive for mistakes.

I need this game!!! I had nothing told to me about what this game was or like, I had played a few of the final fantasy games prior and I thought that's what this would be like. It was better. I was obsessed when I was in my teens, but it was during the times when you could rent games. I never was able to finish the game. The weapon crafting was so well designed for a game back then, I could compare it to my love of the Fallout New Vegas's weapon crafting system. I'd rather support the team that dedicated their time to making this game rather than play it on some emulator. Edit: AND HOW CAN I FORGET THE SOUNDTRACK!!! Seriously a wonderful game.

I was 8 years old when this came out. I actively begged my uncle in the store to buy it for me because it included that legendary demo disc with the exclusive Final Fantasy VIII trailer and playable demo. (I still have it original w/ the demo disc) He actually bought it for me—shout out to my uncle! When I got home, I watched the FF8 video and jumped into Parasite Eve. It scared the absolute crap out of me! I loved it, but I was so terrified that I had to make my older cousin play the game while I just watched. I had recently played Final Fantasy VII and was completely drawn to the JRPG turn-based style for the first time in my life. Fast forward two years later to the Y2K era, and I threw it back into my PS1 (and later my brand-new PS2). I was completely hooked. If I recall correctly, this game brand new was not cheap. It felt way more expensive than the standard $49.99 price tag at the time—I swear it was around $60 to $80, maybe because of the multi-disc package and the bonus FF8 demo. I still don't know how I managed to convince my uncle to buy an 8-year-old a Mature-rated game that cost that much, lol! Parasite Eve quickly turned into one of my all-time favorite games, sitting comfortably in 2nd place right behind FF7. It is an absolute classic that needs to be immortalized on GOG. A modern Square Enix remake would be a dream, but getting a stable, preserved version here on GOG is exactly what this masterpiece deserves! No one in my family gets my inside joke of, ah yes Christmas Eve of 97' what a tragic event.. Lmao
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEPLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEPLEASE PLEASE
One of those close-to-the-heart games that I used to play in its entirety every so often to see if I can decrease my number of saves, decrease my bullet use, and basically try to perfect my playthrough...when that's not something I even care about in other games.
Yep this game needs it. But due to the licensing hell that it's in, I dont know if it's possible, someone would have to contact Square and the author of the book.

I used to play it with my dad. We got a PS1 Slim with it and Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare. A lot of good memories. It's a great game by itself, with such a unique combat system that sadly changed in the second one. This isn't only nostalgia ; This game is worth it for every survival-horror fan
This was one of my favorite old ps1 era games as a classic horror rpg and got me to love turn based rpg's! The intro alone is what got me want to play the game. it needs a remaster and to get preserved! SO Please VOTE for it
Those games also need your vote!
Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
