I still own a disk copy of the game and I get the urge to play it every couple of years, even now. Something about it keeps me coming back time and time again, and I'd buy another version to help keep it alive. Kindrin_bb

This is an absolute timeless classic for a franchise that really deserves to see the light of day once again! Squaresoft is sitting on a genuine gem and I would love to get the chance once more to play this game on my modern set up! The music, the atmosphere and the setting were wonderful and memorable.
For me, Parasite Eve 1 and 2 completely hooked me, the story of our main character Aya Brea, the plot itself, the gameplay, and even the music. I loved everything about those titles. I’ve played many games, and I still remember Parasite Eve 1 and 2 as something truly special.

As a young person just starting out with video games, I was immediately grabbed by this game and it hasn't let go since. I remember being absolutely struck by how amazing the soundtrack was, paired with the starting video - it was jawdroppingly gorgeous! Parasite Eve does so many things right - the story is gripping, unique and flows well. The soundtrack does a fantastic job of elevating every moment. The combat is fun, and also unique. For a linear experience, it does well in allowing the player to change things up according to their play style with different abilites, armor, weapons and the ability to upgrade how the player sees fit. I still own a physical copy of this game because of how special it is to me as a person; it was one of the first playstation games I ever played over and over. It would be more than a worthy addition to the GoG catalog.
I've been trying to get through school to participate in the remastered any info on how to get that going I'm a game design student I've been playing these games since I was 6 and am 33 now 🙃 so inspiring this game was among a few others
This game is AMAZING. Loved the gameplay, played it completely a lot of times, even the tedious post-game XD. I remember playing it years ago, totally inmersed in Aya's story. This game combines narrative and gameplay really well IMO. I love Aya as a protagonist and her skills. We deserve to enjoy this game DRM free.
My dad bougt this game before I was born and played it to completion. He did everything including the chrysler building. Later on my older brother (6 year gap) would play the game multiple times and I would watch because it was too hard for me. I eventually got my own ps1 and have since played the game in that same manner as my brother and father before me. Over the last 20 years this has become one of my favorite games of all time.
Such a great game. The first playthrough was already pretty nice, but the NG mechanic made it really special. Upgrading everything more and more. I think i played through it 5-10 times back then, maybe even more, until i could oneshot the endboss 😅
After playing Parasite Eve II, I found out that the first game wasn't released in PAL territories like the UK, so I imported a copy and ended up playing it in black and white due to an error in the cheat system I was using to play it but honestly I didn't care as the game was great. The game is a cross between Resident Evil's survival horror and Final Fantasy's RPG lineage. Gameplay is relatively simple yet challenging, having an active time system where you are free to move but not act until the gauge fills up, dodging opponents until you can return fire, use and item or charge an ability. It has solid RPG elements, a level system to grind which ups your stats and unlocks new Parasite Powers. a boat load of weapons that are upgradable, gear to collect and labyrinthian levels. The story is science fiction at it's best, smashing real science and magic together, giving you just enough to suspend your disbelief, cherry picking elements from the PE book and movie while adding it's own unique flavour to the mix. The entire game is text rather than VO which was common at the time but it still managed to span two discs. The soundtrack is what I remember the most with synth piano throughout, from manic combat music to spooky background music while your exploring. All in all this is a fantastic game that often gets over shadowed by Resident Evil and Final Fantasy VII and while it wasn't as "ground-breaking" as they where it still deserves praise and preservation.
Those games also need your vote!

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
