This is quite possibly the best video game ever created and the world needs to know it. I hope this gets picked up by GOG so I can play it and enjoy the PC version which I never got to play before.

Silent Hill 2 brings me a sea of ​​joyful nostalgia, this because when I was 8 years old I came home from elementary school, I did my homework first so that in the afternoon I could play this masterpiece on my old PS2 Slim. Every time I came across Pyramid Head it caused me a sea of ​​terror and anxiety. But what I remember the most is when I got a lump in my throat when I heard "James...you made me... happy..". GOG I only ask you one thing with all my heart, please bring the Silent Hill trilogy for this nostalgia pyromaniac (and please with support for the Spanish language).

I can't emphasize enough how phenomenal this game is. The story, atmosphere and soundtrack are outstanding. Team Bloober deserves as much praise as possible for nailing the remake, but the original is just such an experience in its own right that it 100% warrants a place here.

i really want this on GOG because trying to get the original release, and getting it working too, is a mess on modern hardware! this has the potential to be the best way to play the original version of the game if it gets put on GOG. please, please work with Konami on this!

I mean, come on, how the hell hasn't it been lovingly gifted to GOG already for the sake of video game history? Anyone who is remotely a fan of horror, horror games, or survival horror knows the legend of Silent Hill 2, how it brought true beauty and a dreamlike comfort to a town full of cerebral nightmares. This game will live forever, but it deserves to be accessible to all. This game was one of the first I ever played, I've played with my partner, my mam... I've probably played it about 20 times to be honest and I've already bought it 3 times (4 if you count the remake!) James' particular nightmare seems to be one I cannot stop visiting (and all the other ones pretty much) It is close to my heart for nostalgic and personal reasons, and definitely in my top 5 all times. PS I also have a Pyramid Head Tattoo!

Really amazing Horror game, one of the Golden Standards of oldschool Survival Horror games. However this game had one thing that made it distinct from other games, the extremely amazing atmosphere and the mysterious story that you really can't put your finger on until the end. I would love to replay this game on the PC again, since my PS2 sadly doesn't work anymore and I really would prefer buying it on an official site than using alternative methods. While some say the remake should scratch that itch, i think the original really has something the remake doesn't have and thats this gritty weird atmosphere that the limitations of the original game provided. Having this game on GOG would be a great thing, however having Silent Hill 3 aswell would be the cherry on top as I never got to play it.

SIlent Hill 2 is one of the most beloved survival horror games out there. When people think about the different titles under the genre, this game is among the top choices. With the engaging story and character, to the twists and turns and the really fun combat, I think it would be a no brainer to bring this game to GOG. In fact, there exists a PC version for this game and I think bringing it over to GOG would definitely be something many Silent Hill fans would be happy to have as an option to play this game.

i really want this game version of gog because that easy to run pc ! plz add some more games like plz ( The Devil Inside Video game ) add too with gog version we reallly need these types of games in gog version ! i hope u gog team members see my msg ! convert the game on gog version of silent hill 2 and other games too ^_^

FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
