Cavalary: *shrug* With how Argentina played the final part of matches, I was hardly even worried, especially after seeing England's substitutions that just invited a siege.

drxenija: Care to elaborate?
That turnaround against Egypt? And extra time goals against Cabo Verde, extra time goals to win against Switzerland, deep injury time goal that wasn't even needed against Austria...

alexandros050: LAUTAROOOOO and England are out. Football has won against what England decided to play in the 2nd half..
I'm going to watch Spain and France replay now

You're saying this is a strategy? Seems like a risky one to intentionally give the opponents a headstart only to power past them before the finish line.

Is Argentina Ryosuke Takahashi?
As a mexican person I am contractually obligated to root against Argentina

No. I generally say what I mean to say. They play the late match exceptionally well and tend to turn things around.
I'm really excited for tomorrow's match
France vs England

French vs English

This brings up old blood from over centuries of history, should be interesting

Some say England lost because they changed their strategy before late match. Very interesting different perspectives

Also true, and that's all on the coach who pulled everyone back and invited the siege.
Either way, unless France will be too bummed about not reaching the big final, don't see England having any chance against them for 3rd place.

alexandros050: I expect England to be more offensive in the 2nd half and the key will be if Argentina can withstand their press and not make any silly mistakes when defending.
Too bad it didn't happen :(
Would love to see it today against France, but my money is going to France.

The betting markets are 99% on France win...
So people who are putting their money where their mouth is really don't believe in England.

On average France are slightly odds-on to win, 3/1 for a draw (in normal time) and England slightly less than 3/1.

So about 55% France 20% draw 25% England probability from betting odds.

Sounds about right.
It is finally starting!!! France vs England! So exciting!!
Are you kidding me? 20 minutes in and France lost 2 goals to England????
I understand France may not give a crap about third place, but they should at least care about not giving it for free to their age-old rival.
3-0 mates! 3 and zero....
Nice game so far. Obviously both teams don't really care and that's why the ball is going up and down and the defences especially from France is very bad. Maybe France could have scored a goal but whatever. As a neutral spectator I'm fine with it :D. Let's see if France's coach will decide to play more defensively or chase some goals because losing 4-0 in the first half is a nightmare
