This game is one of my Favourite RTS! so much fun and a hero builder too! It is so rare to find that isn't scalped or breaking the bank. Would love to see s legit copy for a reasonable price! I used to play this as a kid for years, now it's impossible to find the only way to play it now is sadly to pirate, I own a physical copy and a cd key but I play with my friends on a player hosted server to this day.

Truely mareveolus strategy game in the best universe ever created. Cool singplayer story, great multiplayer experience and ability to create your own hero in the hero creator (I spent a lot of time there). Highly recomended. 99/10

This must absolutely happen. This game was the pinnacle of RTS games back in the day and today it's nowhere to be found, my original DVD broke and the game is not available anywhere. Digitally it doesn't exist. This is criminal against a game that has so much love put into it.

So many great memories with this game... one of the most fun RTS games from LoTR! I always played with my friends and family in Skirmish mode, and having all the different factions was absolutely incredible; so much replayability!

That's one of the best RTS ever! And one of the best movie adaptations. It expanded from the first with more story, freedom of construction, new units and army's, several mods (check Age of The Ring now) and great multiplayer battles. I didn't played a lot of the expansion, but this game alone gave me thousand of hours with my friends.

Oh, damn... OH, DAMN!!! Please... PLEASE!!! Bring this game to all languages, and not just in english! I enjoyed when I was a kid, and... I don't want to risk it in unathourized third party websites!!!

It improved on a lot of mechanics from the first game, removing the limit of how many buildings and where you could place them (aside from certain building) made each base feel unique. It was interesting playing out a story the wasn't involved with the original Fellowship but instead from the opposite side of the map. The addition of the Elf, Dwarf, and Goblin races was very well done (a little disappointed they condensed the Rohann and Gondor factions from the first game into one Human faction but it was done in a way that didn't take too much away from either) while also improving on the existing races.

Great memories of this. To be able to make and customise your own heroes giving them specific skills from a relevant action tree was nothing short of fantastic. Building up your own heroes was so satisfying and it added so much replayability and freshness. Units were well designed and the additional ability to 'garrison' units in buildings was also brilliant. The campaign was very good, a lot of content. You could play either side good or bad plus could select specific factions in all game modes. An additional special game mode that had similarities to the Risk Board Game was solid, if I remember correctly it may have been called Conquest and was a completely different gamestyle to the conventional RTS story game mode. All in all the replayability was massive in this game. Bring it back. The only issue I could think of is resolution. A patch would probably be needed to get the resolution right but if anyone can do it...GoG can. Include the Witch King expansion as well. A phenomenal game which will bring joy to so many fans and newcomers alike. Get it done guys!

The game follows the movies very closely and even got scenes from the films appear in game. Not only does the game contain a giant campaign where you play through the journey of the ring as the good side, the game also features an evil campaign where as the players play as the evil forces of Middle Earth. With multiple diffrent races from all over Middle Earth, a giant spell tree to customize your game and a unique basebuilding layout the game was great for its time.
